I would have to say for me it would be enough underwear. >_< Have done it twice before. I miscount the days and nights some how and always end up with a bra or 2 more and a pair of undies less than I need.
Donna wrote: "I tend to forget to pack according to weather LOL."Lol! That too especially if you're going somewhere where the weather is completely different. I always end up having to go shopping immediately when I get to where I'm going.
I second that on the shopping. Although mine is usually cause my biggest accessory when vacaying is lovely Auntie Flo. Timing is everything big time for sure with that sort of thing for sure.
Phone charger.....arghhhhhh!!
The comb, toothpaste and deodorant. Because they are the last thing that I use before leaving, I always forget to put them in the suitcase again. So I have an extra set for traveling.

Probably my curling iron - last thing I use before I head out the door for a trip. OOPS, forgot it!
I'm going to the cinema on Saturday, Catching Fire. lol we have Thor here with dubbing. I hate dubbing -.-
So far "The conjuring" and "Thor: the dark world". I'm waiting for "The hobbit the desolation of smaug". I've big hopes in that movie, I think that will be great.
wolverine, ender's game, from up on poppy hill, star trek....been a sad year for animation, maybe just maybe frozen will be good....high hopes for catching fire, and desolation of smaug two feature films with cumberpatch this year!
Wait there is a new Wolverine movie coming out this year? Or are you talking about the Wolverine Origins, Lauren?
Dhfan4life, This year came out "The Wolverine", here in Argentina was released in July. It was a good movie, but not the best of the year, in my opinion. Wolverine origins was better
Oh snap, when he was in Japan or something? Gosh my mind has totally blanked on movies. Haven't been to the theater in ages. So all movies I catch are via the TV months and months after it's ever been in the theater. So totally my bad on the confusion part of things.
Oh my, I may be able to answer this Dec 31st as I still have movies to watch. :)
So far it's Iron Man 3 and the second Star Trek movie. Need to see Catching Fire, Thor, and the next Hobbit movie.
I am a Marvel fan but did not have a desire to see Wolverine sad to say :( will have to catch on DVD.

I haven't seen that many movies this year, Haensel and Gretel and Thor 2, to use all my free tickets I invited my friend's family. Still got 2 left and hubby wants to see captain phillips (aaarrggghh).
Dude, I'm jealous as ever you guys got in so many great movies. Best movie I've seen so far this year, FINALLY, has been Brave that I caught on Starz a few days ago lol. I'm crossing fingers on Oz the Great and Powerful too.New Question: How would you feel if an author contacted you here on GR? Meaning if you wrote a review on their book and they liked it? Or congratulated you on winning their book in one of the giveaways?
How weird that this question came up, because that is honestly what happened to me today. I gave a book three stars this week. The book was lukewarm to me and I explained why. The author liked my review! I thought how odd. I didn't rave about it or did I totally dismiss it. I went to her author page and figured out that she must be a newer writer. Her bio stated something about her writing that I echoed in my review.
Maybe this is her way of getting constructive criticism and expanding on that for her next books.
If that is the case, I like it. Some authors don't take too well to their books not getting great reviews.

I won a book in a contest in one of my groups. I actually had the option of choosing 1 out of 5. I didnt really expect it but like 2 weeks later, She thanked me for choosing her book and hoped I enjoyed it. It was definitely an aw moment. Thank goodness I did like it though and my rating reflected that. I don't do reviews so I just sent her a message back, telling her that I enjoyed it and recommended her book to a few people.
So it wouldn't feel weird to either of you guys to be contacted by the author like that? Like maybe make you feel more pressured to give them a positive review cause the author is lurking around somewhere on the site? As I've read in the feedback group from a member there. That they would feel really weirded out if an author got into contact with them in anyway. Would be just too much for them. And hate to judge I felt sad for them. Cause authors are real people too. So if they are being positive, I don't see anything wrong with being contacted by them. And if they are truly open to constructive criticism that is even better. Cause the more they are learning from the readers they can take it in and make the next books better. Kind of a cycle.I personally don't have much of a problem with it myself. Save for when they are doing overly promotional type contacting or when they don't mention they are an author when joining a group on the site at first.
As I was in another group where there was an author that joined as a regular member. And although I wasn't dissing her books (never read any of them) or talking about authors in a bad way. I felt kind of caught off guard. And I guess felt like I HAD to politely offer to review her book cause I was a mod in that group to be nice. And in a way like I had to be on guard if I am being too critical of other authors. I mean I don't bully authors, but when a book is not doing it for me. I am going to say stuff like this could be better or what is up with this or that scene. And As Marta said, some authors can't handle readers being that honest. And wasn't sure if that would be the case even if I wasn't talking about that particular author's work.
So in short, I don't mind getting a like for my review. Or if an author comes to me directly to ask for a review. Or even if they wished to congratulate me on winning their book/get a good luck from them.
Like you, I would only feel weird or pressured if they were like "can you please make sure to rate my book and recommend it to others?" or trying to promote more of their work. In my circumstance though, the author didn't do that, just thanked me for choosing her book and wished me well. I thought it was sweet of her and didn't find it inappropriate in anyway. And since I don't do reviews the least I could do for her lending the book to the contest was recommend it to other people.
Yea, I see it as a do onto others sort of relationship between readers and authors. If everyone treats everyone accordingly then it's not a problem. But I think when either side gets too over the top with either an opinion, or over promoting/getting critical of the reviewer/reader then the cycle just breaks down.
If it's an author I am familiar with, then I would not mind being contacted. This morning just caught me by surprise. I would have been more than happy to chat with her. Matter of fact, I had thought about sending her a PM to discuss, but dismissed it after I read her bio and figured it out.
It is definitely a respect thing. Like DH said, authors are people too. I would never berate an author or say horrible things about them just because I don't like a book. Hopefully, they take the criticism along with the good and bad.

I had a writer who sent a friends request yesterday . Usually it is me asking the writers to be my friends. ;)
lmao depends on what everyone else is already bringing XD. most likely one or more side dishes or a couple desserts. probably pies as far as desserts go.last year for christmas i made fudge and brought that to my aunt's.
Almost always, for Christmas, I make Vitel Tone. I do not know how it's called in english. The original name in Italian is Vitello tonnato. It is a dish that is served cold. Here in December it's very hot
It's made of sliced veal covered with a creamy sauce made of mayonnaise and cream seasoned with olive oil anchovies, tuna, egg yolks, and lemon juice. It is prepared at least a day or two in advance so the veal take the flavor of the sauce. It is very tasty and not at all dietary!By the way my name is Laura.
Never heard of that before, but man that sounds like a colorful and interesting dish.Good to know your name too by the way Laura. :)
I'm down for bringing desserts too. Particularly cookies. Everything else I'm loading my plate up with, lol.
Wow, can you adopt me Ora? lol. That sounds phenomenal. Is there usually some Reddi Whip on top of that too? :D
Do not blame them at all. Totally sounds awesome. Think I'll have to whip out our old recipe and get to making some bread or something. Also what type of fudge do you guys do during the holidays? My uncle's gf did peanut butter and milk chocolate fudge. Was really awesome. But not sure if there was any traditional holiday flavors that people do too.
