Book 1. (opt. 2) Based on 3/15, the Ides of March, I read The Silver Pigs by Lindsey Davis, set in ancient Rome.
Book 2. (opt. 5) Based on 5/4 National Renewal Day, I read The Subtle Serpent, no. 4 in the Sister Fidelma series by Peter Tremayne, which I had given up on, not because I disliked it, but because I get antsy with series’ reads and usually just don’t hold out. Subtle Serpent was a good entry in the series, actually taking place in Ireland rather than on one of Sister Fidelma’s travels.
