10.5 Piece of Cake
I read Heavenly Pleasures. Main character owns a bakery, and a large part of the mystery involves a nearby candy store. This is NOT a good book to read if you're trying to diet - and there are even recipes at the end, sigh..........
25.2 Laurie ME's task: Interesting Spring Holidays
For my first book, I chose option 5 and read Tooth and Nail, the 3d book in the Inspector Rebus series. I enjoyed the first two, but then was having trouble finding the 3d in the series - but recently found it in a used book store.
For my second book, I chose option 6 and read Teach Yourself History of Ireland. I would very much like to visit Ireland.
50.1 - Ms Anderson's task: Two Truths and a Lie
First, I read From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. The book primarily takes place in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and I like to visit art museums.
Second, I read Ties That Bind, Ties That Break. The main character refused to have her feet bound and I also do not have bound feet.
Third, I read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. Mrs. Frisby has 4 children and so do I.
All three are listed as "middle grade."
