well...maybe a bit, but there are no gangs. the source of conflict is a little different, and these characters are a little older.

I want to read a YA book (any genre) that is a WOW book - I don't want a nice and good read. I want something that would blew me away by how good it is.
Ivanna wrote: "I want to read a YA book (any genre) that is a WOW book - I don't want a nice and good read. I want something that would blew me away by how good it is."try Slammed by Colleen Hoover.
Ivanna wrote: "^ thanks guys :)"I liked Easy better than Slammed...but I suppose that would be more NA than YA.
In a different genre...i remember reading Angelfall in one sitting and having it totally blow me away too.
Since you really like Gayle Forman, you might want to try Jenny Han. The first book, The Summer I turned Pretty, was a total page turner for me.

both had me tearing up. I liked TSOT better, though.I also thought there was some really beautiful poignancy in
, but the first few chapters take a bit to get used to.

Me too! I prefer Easy!!! I Love that book so much!!!
I want a good romance, not a tear jerker. I don't care if it's paranormal or dystopian, but I don't want it to be young YA. I.e. something more than just flirting and one kiss at the end please.

I read it last month and liked it so much.. hope you find them useful!
I'm in the mood for books with abuse/bully as its theme. Actually it's one of my favorite stories and it's been awhile since I read it. And also I want to read star-cross romance, a nerd/geek girl with popular boy or vice versa, something like Geek Girl by Cindy C. Bennett. Can you guys help me?

I'm looking for any really good YA fantasy or paranormal books. I'm not a big fan or romance but it's okay if it has some in it.
Alley wrote: "I'm looking for any really good YA fantasy or paranormal books. I'm not a big fan or romance but it's okay if it has some in it."I saw you had Hex Hall. That's a good YA series. Also Soul Screamers or Morganville Vampires.
Have you read
that's another great series. I always recommend
for fantasy

@Sarah-
and
aren't very romancey. @Kaitlin-I've read
, but I don't read much contemporary romance. I did read the
series though and I really liked it :)@Claudie-the closest I've read would be either
or
if what you're looking for is action. I didn't think either were as good as
or
though. Those books are hard to beat! :)
