I am from Virginia, born and raised. I have been married almost 7 years to my high school sweetheart. I am 25 years old, and have two little boys(3 and 4 years old) that are my world. I read every spare minute I have. My favorite author is Stephen King. I love anything with a good scare, or mystery.
Hey there Mikaela, King is a favorite of mine as well, though from time to time he can get a bit wordy. I swear he always says when he finishes a first draft he then cuts it down 10%, which blows my mind when I think of how long some of his works are.
Hi Mikaela, I'm currently re-reading Gerald's Game (after 20+ years) for a Stephen King group BOTM. Still creepy after all these years. He's a favorite of mine also.
I had unexpected house guests pile in on me for 3 LONG days and am just now able to focus on something other than the mess they left behind. OMG!!!!!Anyway, hello to all our new members; Maxine, Pat, Rob, Michael, Jennifer, Lara, Antoinette, Roger Juan, Stephanie, K.L., Ana Angelica, Yas,Diana and Mikaela.
Welcome to all of you and I hope you enjoy the group.
Hi Dawn. Just thought I let you know several of us from the group will be dropping by for a couple of weeks....
Ha, Ha, Ha!!! At least you are giving me a heads up! They just rang my doorbell and had their 2 small children with them. Come on over; I will get everything ready for you guys. I love sleep overs if I know I am having one.

I am currently reading Doctor Sleep and just finished The Shining (second go round). Next on the list is IT again.

After I finish Doctor Sleep and IT (second go round) I am going to start on The Stand.

To return to a familiar world and yet flip the script the way he did after 30 years. King is a master.
Brenda wrote: "Dawn, should we bring you a book or a bottle of wine?"I am coming,. and Brenda; we are expecting another BIG, KILLER storm; I hope it's lie the last one: non-existent;
Mikaela wrote: "E. wrote: "Hi Mikaela, I'm currently re-reading Gerald's Game (after 20+ years) for a Stephen King group BOTM. Still creepy after all these years. He's a favorite of mine also."I really enjoyed his book "On Writing"
Beginning in high school, he wrote some works that got him into some trouble. I was surprised to read that he was drinking heavily while writing some of his early books. Then...the accident.
I can't keep up with this thread. Too many new names to mention, so to avoid the risk of leaving anyone out, here's a generic 'Hi' to all new members. Join in and enjoy.
Not too bad, Aaron, thanks. Yourself?I have a full days writing planned today, and just taking a ten minute break on here.
I self publish, Aaron. You can check out my titles here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...One thriller of psychological persuasion, with another in the planning stage. And four fantasy titles, currently writing the fifth.
It is Aaron, I only wish I'd done it years earlier. Having said that, my writing has improved with age.Is your sister a member of this group?

I see that storm is going to stay south of me, but I'll be thinking of you. Try to stay inside and read if it's BAD!

Hi, my name is Jenni Boyd, I live in Australia, I have four published books, and hope to release #5 soon.I would like to ask a question, of other authors, hopefully it is okay to do so on this post. What are your thoughts on Smashwords, is it true their focus is more on Romance & Fantasy?
Welcome to all the new members! I hope you all have a wonderful time here! We are so glad you have joined our fun little (big) group. Be sure to check out our fun games, and Book Pals. It is a great way to get to know other people in the group one on one while taking down that TBR list that is ever growing. If you have any questions about Book Pals, feel free to PM me! Enjoy your time here and above all, have fun!
Hi all, not exactly new to the group but haven't had time to get involved before now so hope to change that. I am in Wales, Uk.
Good morning!I am Alan and I live in a small town in east Texas with my wife, teenage daughter and my basset hound. Besides reading I enjoy fishing, a good cup of coffee, cooking and BBQ.
It's great to be part of a group that shares the same love of reading that I do.
