Ditto!!

to read but I keep putting it off, just cause I didn't like what happened in the last book. I need to put on the big girl panties and just read it."Me too I have checked it out like three times now and have not made it past chapter 1. I always seem to find something more interesting.

I've been listening to book three on audio for MONTHS & haven't cared enough to finish. "Oh lucky you.
I have high hopes for that series but yeah book three was like sludge.

the mystery was a bit of a let down but as a coming of age story it was awesome.Next up is
Hmm, all the Skin Walkers were really good, they were a re-read, hence out of order. Then probably
and of course, Dragon on Top in Supernatural.

but some spoiled the ending of the series for me so that took the wind out of my sails with it. Then I started
but it's not nearly as good as the first in the series and I can't get into it so I don't think I'm going to keep reading it. But I finally got my hands on
from the library so I'm going to read that one. I know I can get into that one.

I swear it's all "I went to Walmart. Then I made toast. Then I checked my email. Then I cleaned up the toast crumbs from the kitchen. Then I wondered what Sam was doing and if he liked toast" Blah, blah, blah, blah.
I'm down to the last 30 mins of the story and I'm so happy about being done that I may just check my email and then lay out in the sun to celebrate. :)
(Ok in all fairness I've been over Sookie for the last 3-4 books so I didn't go into this w/a very good attitude. Not that you can tell from my post right? lol)

I went to our annual library sale and scored! I found a bunch of out of print books that I lost in our house fire a few years ago. Other books were so cheap that I'm willing to give it a try. A few of the later Anita Blake books were there - I was burned very badly when that series took a nosedive but the books were so cheap that I'm going to gird my loins and dive back into the Anita pool - wish me luck!A few of the highlights:
And many, many more. I also picked up lots of mythology, information, and historical fiction books.
Next Saturday is the last day of the sale and all remaining books are free - otherwise they're are thrown into a dumpster. Don't worry books - I will save you!

Nothing is better than free books (ok well there are a few things but nothing that can be mentioned in this thread...lol). I've wanted to read The Vampire Shrink one for awhile. Let me know how it is. And go save those other books next week. :)
Alisa, I'll let you know how the Vampire Shrink is - It's one I've been eying for a while too.
Sandra,
I'm surprised more libraries don't have these type of sale. Our library makes buckets of money during this sale. Friday was the first, or preview, night of the sale so there was a $1 entrance fee - within the first 15 minutes of opening there was a minimum of a 100 people there. That's $100 right there. Books range from $1 to $3 and no one was leaving empty handed. The library makes money to buy new books/supplies and the general populace scores by gobbling up cheap books. A win-win for everyone involved. The only downside is my sore back muscles from lugging so many books around but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

My library seems to have books sales about every 2 months. I don't think that they charge entrance, but the books are donated, so any money they make is all profit.
I have a bunch of books that I need to donate just to clean up the house, but I never remember until I see the sign for the sale and then it is too late.
Our libraries do these sales but on a small scale because we have the Planned Parenthood book sale twice a year every year. It is held out at the state fairgrounds and it is book nirvana.

This weekend we have a massive book sale of withdrawn stock from the library. They estimated around 4000 books will be on display with nothing above $5. So I've been hunting down all the spare shrapnel in the car and sofa - Yea I'm a tight B!*@h when need be. Which also means that I have to stay well within budget. I've got a terrible, terrible habit of spurging. And after reading your awesome score, I need to sate my paperback hunger :)

I was really pleasantly surprised. I have never been much of an Adam and Mercy fan but in this book it worked for me. I also loved the walking stick. Also was it just me or did anyone else wish Anna would show up??
I also started
has anyone read this one?? Not to sure how it is going to work out.So I also picked up
Just picked up a few reads from our local Book Fair -
Plus a box load of Katherine KerrTerry Prachett and Terry Brooks
This weekend is a good reading time! I just finished Wen Spencer's Elfhome #4 "Wood Sprites" and now I'm going to read Emma Holly's "Tales of the Djinn: The Guardian", first in a new series. Squeee!Wood Sprites

I just couldn't help it, I had to go back and pore through everything, and I mean everything. Dang glad I did though, I managed to fill a whole box with sci-fi, thrillers, UF/PNR and True Life books and only paid $10! Here's a sneak peek at what I managed to wrangle
Yeah, this mama is one happy Chickity
Today was the free day of the library book sale. A few highlights:
I also grabbed more "information" books. After that, I went to our local comic book store because it was Free Comic Book Day. Scored a bunch of comics there along with some Game of Thrones merchandise.
Free books and comics! To quote the Lego movie: "Everything is awesome!"

I hate to say it, but see if you can go the library route. That way you are only out time, not money."

Nope keep pressing forward. Alot of people like the new change in book 5.
For me she took to much away from what I liked about the series and started into a new plot or theme that was just not as interesting.
Like Darcy said it fell off with me at book 5
