Okay, when I started this group (1/1/16) I had read 34 of the 130 books that were on the list at that time, resulting in a completion rate of 26%. As of today, I have read 48 of 152 equaling a 32% completion rate. So, I guess that means that my reading rate is improving - in just 6 short months. This group is awesome. Yeah!!!

I have read 105 of 152 = 70%
Last count was 92 of 142 = 65%
So, improvement. There are 5 books on the list that I have no interest or intention to read. Still that leaves me a lot of reading to catch up to the group.

Wow Sara improvement is an understatement!! :)

65. That's pretty good, but there's no way I can keep up with some of the super-fast readers in this group.

I currently have 109/152 on the groups bookshelf. On the groups Listopia shelf I have 81 of the top 100. Check it out and vote for your favorites.

That's an impressive number Bob, on both lists! :)

Duane you are amazing!!!! I keep debating whether to try to play catch up with you mega readers but I get distracted by other books off of the list. oh well!
Bob, that's a huge number also! and thanks for the link to the listopia list, very cool!
Well, I have 65 of the top 100 on the group shelf. What's more interesting to me is that I have only 7 of the top 10, which means I'm only about 70% cool by this group's standards. Also interesting is that two books I loathe- Frankenstein and Dracula are in the top 25. To each their own, I guess.
83 of the top 100 for me. 114 overall. Basically, it's all I can do to keep up with group reads at this point.Phil wrote: "Also interesting is that two books I loathe- Frankenstein and Dracula are in the top 25. To each their own, I guess. ..."
The Hobbit and Jane Eyre are both in the top 10, but I've long since resigned myself to the fact that the rest of the world finds those two books far more interesting than I do.
A Tale of Two Cities is way down at #57, which makes me happy cause I can pretend that everyone else dislikes it too.
Only 39, so a LONG way to go for me. But I just looked again and found of the top 20, I've read and rated highly 10. So for the ones I read, I'm in agreement with the majority of the group. The thing is, of the other 10, I really only want to read 3 (apparently I'm getting selective in my latter reading days!). I think I'll try to reach half, or 50 for the short term, and be happy with that. :-)
I've read 26 of the 100 so far! We'll see when I'm able to finish the 14 that are on my to-read shelf. Can't wait to get to them!
I'm up to 37 nowmainly just from trying to keep up with new monthly reads, rather than "shelf mining" (or new reads being books I've already read)
I have managed to get slightly ahead of the game with The Yellow Wallpaper though, as I've already read it, and it is on the Listopia list, but is not on the group shelf yet!
Annika wrote: "44. Great list, I hope to read at least 5 more this year."Snap, I got 44 too. Although some of them were so long ago I can barely remember them.
A much better score than I expected from quickly scanning my ratings. But a childhood interest in Wells, Verne and Conan Doyle, long before I started using Good Reads bumped my score a fair bit.
My July shelf reads were:A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.

Oh I like this idea of seeing what you've read from our shelves each month!
Pink wrote: "Oh I like this idea of seeing what you've read from our shelves each month!"Hmm, new thread idea, maybe? Might encourage others to read the same books and contribute to the already-existing discussion threads. :)
3 more for me recentlyread Animal Farm and Lord Of The Flies
plus one that was chosen which I'd already read (Death Of Ivan Ilyich)
40 total now
41 for me. But when I joined this group in January of this year, I had only read 10. Watch out, people with 100+. I'm coming for you!! :)

WOW, that is amazing progress, Paula. You will leave us all in the dust in no time.

Those are pretty great numbers. Finally checked mine - 66 and I'm reading another 3 right now - and this is over 10 more than 3 months ago. My problem is that I like reading a variety of genres, not just classics :0)

That's super progress and a great number. I enjoy reading a lot of genres as well, but I have resolved to read all the classics I missed along the way. No shortage of reading materials...only a shortage of time.
