Fastests members is a really good idea. Then maybe make it so a member can't pick 2 weeks in a row. I caught the "when we finish first next week" thing too.
Gauntlet thrown? Challenge accepted prepare to eat our dust jackets all ye of the non-purple pursuasion. **Said in my most Monty Pythonish- tone**

Pause for thought often.
Ok, beautiful ladies! Being the reasonable elf that I am, I have now made changes to the rules in this post. From next week on, the team or players who finish first will be asked to submit a song for the following week's list. This will be regulated by the Bouncers and myself.
Notice: We have a player in Pink Cupcakes that has had to drop out due to work commitments. The moderators are discussing possibilities for scoring, extra players etc, but if anybody here knows of a Goodreads friend who might like to join late in the game, it would be the best solution for us.
The preview is here! *Bounces up and down*I have a Q: If Pink's song is picked - would a pink cover count as a cover connection?
There are so many possibilities that I'll wait until tomorrow to explore more. I don't even know what half the songs are about!
Well these videos don't give much to work with do they. I love that Pink song but the breast pumping thing was just well um odd. I might be stuck at the courthouse tomorrow waiting to be called for jury duty so I wanted to pick out a couple of ebooks that would work for some of these.
Glad I wasn't alone. I am good for 3 of the 5. But the other 2 I've got really weak links to... if they will count. I spent over an hour searching and then gave up and decided to throw my efforts in to willing the easy songs to be picked.
- Pink cover won't work for the pink song.- As long a the original word is included, any variation of that word is fine.
-For the Westlife song, the name link can include any of the the names included in the lyrics, but because of the amount of points awarded for that category, the spelling had to be exactly the same eg. Shain would not be accepted.
-West on it's own could be used for the name link.
A clarification on the setting, relating to "place matches lyrics".Does this mean that an actual city, town, country mentioned in the lyrics must match the city, town, country where the story is set? Could the city, etc. be mentioned in the video?
Could this be more broad? Meaning, if the lyrics mention the beach, could the book be set in a beach town?
Ugh. Just called and have to report to jury duty at 8 am. I won't even be able to look for a good book until tomorrow night.
When it comes to suggesting a song (if and when its your turn) it says it has to be a top 50. Does that mean Billboard? Or can it be in say the top 50 Dutch Singles Chart?
Ok, so I've come on to see if the new song had been posted yet (I've been celebrating a lil' bit tonight) and have seen all the questions. I apologise I didn't get to them before. I'll answer the general ones until the next song gets posted.

D.G.: For setting: If a place is mentioned in the lyrics, then that place would be counted as a Setting link, yes. I was trying to think how a placename might be mentioned in a video without being mentioned in the lyrics. I guess if the video link shows someone singing under a road sign? Is that what you meant?
And yes, it can be more broad, if the lyrics mention the beach, then a seaside story would fit for setting. Keep in mind that the setting of the book has to be where a significant part of the story takes place. It can't just be a random beach scene.
I hope that helps!!!
Lauren wrote: "Question regarding setting: could a field of stone be a graveyard?"I would say yes, and good on you for thinking outside the square.
Elishia wrote: "Is everybody else only getting 4 pages of books instead of the number it says?"Yes! I think it's a GR glitch, I saw that plenty of times in the RRRC Heart & Tournament as well.
