R2: ♬ Something To Talk About
There's On the Jellicoe Road, if you read YA (I have it on my TBR and people say great things about it.)
Ride with Me is another one (this one I read already and it's cute.)Also, maybe we can read for that a romance where the couple is on the run (lots of romantic suspense have that plot.)

Not only I don't have a book published in 1986 in my TBR but the ONLY book I have that shares a keyword...I started reading already!"Hahaha it was what was playing on the radio when I read CaroB's post asking for my song LOL I was thinking cowboys when I typed it ;)
LOL, Susan! Don't have anything against the song in particular or your taste! I just didn't easily find a book that fit for option 6, which is the one I'll TRY to go for.Although if we can use books 'on the road' for this category, then I should be good to go. I must have something in my TBR that's a road romance. :)
ShoSho wrote: ""Being on road " ,does it count as a place or the plot?"The mods would have to decide on that but to me it could be both.
CaroB wrote: "Love how you guys are working through the options!"I just want to be prepared , the timing of the song is really bad for me ,I know if I don't have my options ready I won't be able to look for it on the weekend or Friday night !
It'd be around 10 pm on Friday. That's one of the evenings i dont spend reading or checkinf emails.it's hubby's time;)

Naw, I'm ok with things the way they are LOL
I spent 18 hours in teh car the day after Christmas because of a snow storm and my ex insisting on taking out daughter for 4 days at Christmas instead of Thanksgiving. He went fishing over Tday.

Almost there! When I wake up tomorrow the first thing I'll do is check the thread, LOL! I have books picked for everything but Susan's song (I'm jinxing myself that's the one that I'll pop up!)
It is going to be about 3 am here when it gets posted, not sure why I am counting down. It's not like I'll start reading as soon as it is posted.
is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time is it time??????
Hahaha you lot are making me laugh. D.G. I don't want Susan's choice to be picked either so it probably will :-(.
ShoSho wrote: "3 more hours., Mr Elf where are you???"I clearly read the time wrong before I thought it would be PM here but for once its a decent hour here yay
Can't wait !can't wait ! Can't wait!!

Elishia wrote: "Shosho you're making me laugh, did you set an alarm or something?"No I just thought if I say it's time Mr Elf will think that it's time and will post the song:D
Couple of quick questions:1. If my book fits the shelf (1 point), the cover matches the lyrics (3 points) and was published in 2012 (6 points) does that mean I have a total of 10 points or does the setting take precedence which means I have 6 points?
2. There is a guy with a gun on the cover - would that link to battle and/or the word rifle in the song?
Good questions Lauren. For your first question, you would have a total of 10 individual points.
A gun on the cover would link with the lyrics, so it would be 2 points. If there was an obvious scar or a battle scene on the cover, that would link to name for 5 points.
I hope this has helped to answer your questions.
Yep, you sure can. And don't forget that the
I'm trying to check how many points I can get off
. It's published in 2012 (6), takes place during WWII (3) leading to a total of 9. Can the fighter plane in the cover reference a battle/war? (I know it's reaching but.)And a major question that I'm just realizing - the book is an ebook version only. Amazon.com is estimating it at 318 pages. Can I go ahead with the book?
And because I really want to continue with the Codex Alera series (and because I want a backup in case the above fails), I'm trying to fit
into this week's song. Can I use the following:Based on Mr. Elf's post above, the cover has a battle scene which can link to name for 5 points
Plot - War is an ongoing theme in this series - so 3 points
Cover - Fire in the cover can possibly link to the word fires in the lyrics, so 2 points.
Leading to a total of 10 points. Will this pass muster?
When it comes to matching the author's name if we went with the name Sebastian is that ok or does it have to be Guy Sebastian?

Can the fighter plane in t..."You would get 9 points for that, the plane wouldn't count as a battle or war item and it isn't specifically mentioned in the lyrics. When I clicked on the book link, the kindle and ebook versions both state 300 pages, so no problem there.

I couldn't find anything published in 1986. I'm hoping to find something that takes place on a road
