I have this book on my to-read list and I'm itching to go ahead and get it. Hmmm, might be my next in line. So many to choose from. Sometimes I feel like a kid in a candy store when I choose my next book to read :)

It is 12:08 a.m. EST and I'm home from work with the tummy full. Gonna sit back and relax/read for a bit.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 12:32 a.m. EST (hi, Cindy!) Just finished editing, clearing out e-mail, and then I'll buckle down on reading the first two books in the Godling Chronicles. Erasmus is happy he'll have my lap back.

message 2854: by [deleted user] (new)

My dog thinks she is a lap dog. Only problem being she is a Black Lab. Can't tell her though. Happy reading Katy and I'm glad Erasmus is happy now.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:04 a.m. EST Just stopping my book to update statuses, check for freebies on my wishlist, clear out e-mail... Trying to decide if I'll go to sleep soon or stay up awhile longer. While the editing on this book is pretty bad, the story itself is holding my attention really well.

9:02AM Checking GR gonna get started on making some homemade play dough so Aeverie can make some Easter hearts for his mommy & Daddy & his Paw Paw. He will like it a lot. I found on Pinterest an awesome idea for making play dough easter eggs too. You can put them into a low dish and then make a little nest with bottle cleaners. All ya gotta do is add some food color to the dough. Anyway it was a cute idea for a centerpiece.

message 2859: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Oh, Janie, my mom used to make me home-made PlayDoh, too! She'd die it different colors and stuff. I once made a chicken head out of some yellow and last time I was home it was still in my room. Heh. Good memories!

10:43 a.m. EST Been up about an hour, just going through e-mail. It's a bright, sunny day. I didn't want to wake up so early but couldn't go back to sleep. This morning right when I was falling asleep, Fluff decided he wanted to come in here (I usually close the door to keep him out, 'cause he's sort of a brat) and managed to climb UP the outside of the door, popping it open, and squatted up on the top of the door! I managed to take a few pictures, so next time I download my camera and upload pictures to FB, I'll be sure to add on in over here so y'all can see. I also usually end up shutting the door with Erasmus inside, because I know I can trust HIM, and yesterday I woke up to find him quietly sitting by the door, waiting for me to let him out... He's a pretty good cat, overall. He's two years older than the "babies", so he'll be 5 next month. Geez, time flies...

12:12PM eating lunch and reading GR. Have still not read today, Aeverie has kept me busy. We did play dough eggs rather than the hearts. They look pretty cute. He wanted one for all of us.

That's awesome Katy. We ended up not having red dye *sigh* oh well it all turned out ok.

message 2862: by [deleted user] (new)

It's 1:17 p.m. and I had some running to do. Only have about thirty minutes to read before getting ready for work. Think I'm gonna focus on Before I Fall for that short amount of time. Hoping everyone has a wonderful day!

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 1:23 p.m. EST OH, man, I'm SO HUNGRY but Dmitry isn't feeling like eating, so I'm left with carrots and cheese... *sigh* I want something a bit more... MORE, y'know? Oh, well. Anyway, the book I just finished was good epic fantasy, despite the bad editing, but it's a blog tour, so the review isn't going up until Friday. I'm about to start the 2nd book in the series. Whee!

message 2864: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 26, 2013 05:31PM) (new)

Cindy, I have an 8 month old collie puppy (not so little) who has been a lap dog since day one. All the books say you get what you train them for, so my hub and I are happily guilty...

Katy, hope you found something yummy...

7:27pmEST. Hub getting ready for bed because he has to get up at 3:30 (he'll be up with me!). Actually I'm staying up awhile to read (of course). Made a new dish for dinner--spicy peanut rice noodles with an Asian marinated pork chop (the pork is not new). It was really good! A few tweaks and it can be a standard. Off to relax with a good book. It's early, but good-night all. Sweet dreams!

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments 11.50am Hi everyone! Haven't been on much in the last few days and don't have a lot of time to look back at old posts so I hope you're all doing well and sorry if I've missed anything! Things should start to settle down for me after this week (fingers crossed) and then I will have much more time for GR and reading... YAY!

Got up at 3.30am to take my mum to the airport - I love my mum but I have to say, I wanted to kill her when the alarm went off lol. Struggling a bit to get through work today, but guess what Janie - Sweetheart arrived - woot! When do you want to get started? :D

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Nope, still haven't eaten anything but carrots. We've been having this really tasty smoked gouda lately, but I think I'm all gouda'd out...

11:15 p.m. EST Had a lovely nap, with a weird dream at the end with Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne of all people, only they were... umm, I think selling oil, and all of us involved were at a huge picnic, but their son was grabbing my boobs. Weird. I have no idea how these things crawl into my brain, but the food looked great (see above, I"m STILL hungry! LOL). I just ordered the Cowon MP4 player, so ... *deep breath* I fretted about that for WEEKS before I finally took the plunge. Now I need to start frantically downloading music again before it arrives! LOL After all, I have another 60 GB to play with! Woot! Black Sabbath, here I come (seriously, they have SO MUCH STUFF that I think I could download 60GB of JUST Black Sabbath; I"ll probably just download a few "best of" for each iteration).

For those that haven't yet seen A Game of Thrones and don't have cable, but have Comcast, the first two seasons are available at xfinitytv.comcast.net through the weekend. Ooh, they actually have several shows available, True Blood, Treme, Oz. Looks like all the premium shows are up. I won't be leaving the house this weekend!

I'm about to eat fish and grits!

Wish there was more time in a day! Seems like I never have more than an hour or two for reading before work. And that is at the expense of cleaning my house sometimes. Ahh!! Just send me to a place in heaven where there is nothing but stacks and stacks of books!

message 2898: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Nice Cindy.

I feel that way sometimes too. So much that you want to get done in a day, so little time to actually get it done. It can be very frustrating sometimes.

message 2899: by [deleted user] (new)

Seriously Holly, there should be some kind of law (for educational purposes of course), that everyone must take a number of hours each day to read :). Sounds good anyway.

message 2900: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Yeah, that does sound good Cindy. I'd be up for that law!! :-)
