12:29PM Just blowing right through Crossed today! It is a very good read. Can't wait to read Reached, but I did not buy that one because it is still hardback. But I have figured a way out of my demise. LOL I will have Kay borrow it from her school library. LOL I giggle to myself when I think about it. And then when Reached hits paperback I will buy it so I have the complete set. Smart right?

Kyle happy shopping today! I love sales. I only wish we had more money when we hit that book sale in the Mall. I look forward to hear what you have purchased.

Cindy and Holly I agree wholeheartedly! There is never enough time to accomplish everything. I have hundreds of books I wanna read this year and know that I simply can not fulfill this desire. Oh well I will get to them all and savor every moment.

message 2902: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Yes Janie, I feel that way too. I just can't wait to get to all of them!! Lol

GeneralTHC 2:03PM Just finished The White Tiger. Now I'm trying to decide between Ulysses (#1 on all the lists), Robinson Crusoe, Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity (a true story), or finishing one of the half read books I've got going already. Time is precious, I should probably go with the tried-and-true...

message 2907: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Good luck on deciding what to read next Chuck! U know the feeling. :-)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments I just skip the cleaning... ;-)

3:10 p.m. EST After an hour of harassment, I finally managed to wake Dmitry up and push him out of bed. He'll be heading to work now, and I can (hopefully) finally sleep a bit. I couldn't concentrate to read, so been downloading music again... I'll read in the evening. Need to finish this book soon!

message 2910: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Ooo, does that mean you're going to read Before I Go to Sleep with Michelle and I Kyle???? Nice choices, BTW.

Which CDs did you get?

message 2911: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Awesome!!!!

You're welcome.

Nice selection.

Not bad at all. I love looking in the $5 bins. I've gotten some awesome CDs and movies from them!

Kyle awesome on your purchases! I know what you mean, I always check out the $5 bins, especially movies for the grand baby. A great way to get movies for him.

LOL Kyle IKR? I think Aeverie will have as big a collection as we do before I know it. Not to mention the videos that Paw Paw can get him from the internet.

8:35PM Just finished my workout, about to jump in the shower, gonna have coffee and read. Be back soon guys!

message 2921: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Okay, Kyle, that video is ... wow. That's as close as I've ever actually seen lightning (although I think I was close to a strike once, but all I remember was a bright flash and my hair standing on end). Also great music selection! Sounds like the sorts of things I would like.

Dalu, the first week is the hardest, as you adjust to a new environment, make new friends, etc. I can't speak for anyone else, but I loved college. I was *free* for the first time, and yeah probably made some bad choices, but I made some great friends, had a LOT of fun, and generally enjoyed it a lot. It's a time to learn and grow and find yourself, and I'm so thrilled for you! Do keep us updated when you have time!

11:48 p.m. EST Ah. well, I needed that nap! LOL I was growing quite grouchy and whined excessively when I realized Dmitry had NOT PUT OUT THE DOG before he left, so I had to stay up almost another HOUR to do that... GAH!. Still, I had about 7 hours sleep now and feel much better. Although I'm still hungry. Damn, what I wouldn't give for a nice steak. mmmm Just need to clear out my e-mail and read for awhile. I still have more music to collect - Foreigner, for example (Hi Kyle!), and the various offshoots with Stevy Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, etc., not to mention the Black Sabbath, and some of the newer bands I've discovered, like Fallout Boy. It'll probably never end, but I'm so excited I have so much space to fill! I have 68GB of music on my computer right now, and 120GB to use, so ... wheeee!!! (I AM STILL LAUGHING AT MYSELF about this, 'cause I remember how excited I was when I had my first phone on which I could play MP3s and I had 500MG OMG! LOL I could not even manage to put a single song from each album in a device that small anymore! Not to mention back when computers still had CASSETTE TAPE storage drives, anyone else remember that? Or actually FLOPPY floppies? Before those cute little rigid ones? LOL Oh, man... things have changed SO MUCH in the past 30 years!)

11:28PM Just about done with Shimmer. I think I will finish before bed. It is one of those finish in a few hours book. I just wanted a fast read to slip in before my next buddy read.

I agree Katy who needs MP3 players anymore. Our Phones hold it all. We have not upgrade the space on our phones right now because in less than a year we will upgrade our phones. So what is the sense. I have quite a bit of music on my phone, plenty enough for now.

message 2923: by [deleted user] (new)

It's 12:33 a.m. and I just settled in after work. Took dog out to potty, got something to eat, and made coffee. Now it's reading time. Almost finished with a couple of my books and that's when I get excited about starting new ones.

message 2924: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Hey, Janie; I don't have a smart phone, but I was an early user of the LG phone with the keyboard, which I received as a free upgrade. Oh, I LOVED that phone, but ... couldn't afford to keep the service. *sigh* I had upgraded the memory and had, I think, 8 GB of music on there. But what I ended up going for is a high-capacity Cowon X7, with 120GB memory, onto which I plan to put my entire music collection... It will be GLORIOUS!!! The 40GB on my Sandisk just didn't cut it... LOL I do wish Sandisk had a high-capacity player, though; I know and trust their products but my choice was the Cowon or a Gen 6 iPod, and I heard the sound quality on the iPod was bad from Gen 6 onward and I like having a good quality sound. I did waver a bit and consider picking up a tablet or NetBook (they have 250GB netbooks, did you know? Crazy... but nothing in a reputable brand, so ...), but ultimately decided to stick with something more specific. I didn't figure I'd have very good sound quality from a tablet or Netbook, and I already have the laptop, so ...

1:02 a.m. EST Just about finished with e-mail so I can finally read. Damn... but I want to download as much as possible before my new player arrives, but I need to finish this series, too... LOL If only I could convince my husband to help but he has no intention of tearing himself away from his game...

message 2925: by [deleted user] (new)

Dang! Really thought that I just slept wrong on my shoulder a few nights ago, but it is still bothering me pretty bad. Might have to take a couple of Tylenol PM or something. Hate to do that but it will be hard to sleep otherwise :(

message 2926: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Hope your shoulder feels better soon. I've had injuries to both of mine (about two years apart) and it's NOT fun. Ice and heat alternating, and don't lift anything too heavy. Then have it checked out when you can. Hopefully it's just a pulled muscle.

message 2927: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 27, 2013 10:15PM) (new)

Thanks Katy. If it continues for several more days I may have no other choice than to see the doctor. I will take your suggestion and see if it feels better tomorrow.

message 2928: by [deleted user] (new)

Goodnight folks. Starting to get sleepy from the stupid Tylenol PM but it is at least helping a little. Hit me all at once.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Hope you sleep well and your shoulder feels better in the morning.

4:30 a.m. EST Just finished the 2nd Godling Chronicles and scheduled the review. It'll go up elsewhere once it has posted on my blog on Saturday. I'll read the 3rd one soon. For now, a bit more music and then bed. I ended up cooking some Hamburger Helper and now my back is killing me, but at least I had some food! Mmmm.

7:56AM Having my morning coffee, Kay off to school, they are out tomorrow. Will be heading out to get groceries soon, we need them bad. May read some shorts today. Have a buddy read starting tomorrow.

Cindy hope your shoulder feels better soon. It may be as simple as sleeping wrong on it maybe? Either way it really does not feel good.

message 2931: by [deleted user] (new)

Good morning everyone. It's 9:40 a.m. and I'm about to take the dog outside for a minute and then read. Slept pretty good considering so I'm ready to read now. Plan to finish The Miska Papers today and possibly Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 10:05 EST Just up from a nap, clearing out e-mail before I read book 3 of the Godling Chronicles. Today was actually warm enough for me to go sit outside, at least for a little while (the breeze is still cool). It will definitely be warm enough this weekend, with highs in the upper 60s, but it'll be raining! The the temps are dropping AGAIN! It's like the weather is conspiring against me, I swear... LOL

message 2941: by [deleted user] (new)

It's 12:48 a.m. and I'm getting a bit of a late start on GR's tonight. Came home from work, made something to eat, and got to watching some good old-fashioned Bluegrass music on television. Now it's time to read for a bit.
