Oh, I was going to read that! I think I got it as a Kobo freebie a while back.

Still need to get Dark Awakening review done...I might be finished with Second Grave on the Left tomorrow.

Book: Must Love Lycans by Michele Bardsley
Shelf: Shifters

Review:
This is a light hearted fun series. I read it when I'm feeling really blue and need a pick me up. I like that the heroines are always girly but ballsy and fight for what they treasure. The guys are always cute and the humor gets me chuckling every time. Ruadan is one of my favorites cuz he's supposed to be this serious vampire ancestor and he acts and looks like a young guy.

O24 : Favorite Series - Dark Awakening - ★★★★★ - 11 Nov 12
Tynan "Ty" MacGillivray is vampire of the Cait Sith bloodline -- he can shape shift into a cat. The Cait Sith bloodline is considered tainted and are seen as less than nothing by the majority of the other dynasties. Ty and his people have been slaves to the Ptolemy for centuries. After an attack by an unknown entity, his queen sends him on a mission to find a seer to help them discover who was behind the massacre. After months of searching, Ty comes across Lily Quinn. Right off, he's attracted to her, not knowing she's what he's been looking for. As soon as he realizes that, he knows she's off-limits to him.
I really liked Ty, though I wanted to shake him at one point. The Cait Sith have been downtrodden for so long, Ty is afraid to do anything that would cause the rest of his people to suffer should he anger the queen. He's determined to bring Lily to the Ptolemy court, despite the danger, in the hopes that he can appease the queen and still keep Lily safe.
I really loved this book and wish I'd read it sooner. I like the dynasty setup and look forward to seeing more of the others.

Happy shopping to all....

If you are an urban fantasy lover, The World of the Lupi series is a series to start reading. This series has it all - sorcerers, werewolves, magically talented people, and fantastic characters. It also has one of my favorite paranormal couples - Lily and Rule.
In this installment of the series, Lily and Rule are in the town of Halo, NC to obtain custody of Rule's son Toby. Things start going wonky in the town as a mother and her 2 children are found murdered with the scent of Death Magic on them. The father has confessed to the crime, only he has no memory of what he did. Lily begins her investigation, impeded by the small minded sheriff of the town. Meanwhile, Rule is getting a lot of daddy-time with Toby. I really enjoyed Rule's parenting style - parenting a young werewolf must be difficult, but when the father is the Rho(leader), there are complications. Rule must also deal with his mantle and the mate bond which also go a little wonky in this book.
This is a great addition to the series and I can't wait to read the next book.

Yup. Read them. Watched the movies. My oldest was 10 when they first came out, so we read the series (fought for the books) as they came out.

I agree. :) Very nice!
Finished Second Grave on the Left. Stayed up til 1am to finish...not that it matters, I see. ;-)

Sometimes Mr. R is good and sometimes just meh.
It was nice playing with you all. See ya all next round!

So are you saying you're a bad luck charm? ;-) Oh, and you're doing awesome on the Seasonal Reading Challenge. Do you think you'll complete all the tasks? I know I won't (never attempt to, either). I just need to do at least one more task to reach my personal goal of 300 points -- a 5 pointer will do it.
As for Bingo -- It was fun. I'm glad I could help out. I don't know if I'll be back for the next round -- depends on when it begins and whatever madness Steph and her

I don't think I'll complete the SRC but I did better than last time!
Yep, I'll be having bingo withdrawal soon. Do join next time too, it'll be fun :-D

Sheesh! Two? :-| I think I'll be a stand-by player then. :)
SRC -- I'm doing better, too. Bingo usually throws my planning out the window, so I credit sitting out the previous game for my progress.

It is fun! :D
I average about 13 tasks and 18 books per SRC. I find I do better if I plan. When I do, I get more higher point tasks done during the season.
