I loved Tuesdays with Morrie, but couldn't get into another one I picked up by him - something about one of the characters being a ghost and talking the main character all the time...

I made a slight change (as we haven't reached the 30th yet I guessed it was OK), as I really need to read and get rid of books and several of my choices are on my Kindle.

I came across The Prophet as I was unpacking some boxes and thought it would be good to finally read it (I've had it for over 10 years).

My problem was the same, before Tuesdays with Morrie I tried to read Five People You Meet in Heaven but it didn't really work for me...

Charlotte (Buried in Books) | 561 comments I liked Tuesdays with Morrie, but the Five People You Meet in Heaven got on my nerves.

Hi Ceej,

Yes, you have to post your list before the 30th or if you start the challenge at a later date, before you start reading for the challenge. You can read as many books as you want per month. If you post any Optional/Bonus books before your start date, you may read them at any time during the challenge. But you can always add the Optional/Bonus books at a later date and read them when finished with madatory 9 genres.

Discussion: Have you tried this genre before? What did you think about this book/author?

COMTEMPORARY Take Me There
I have tried this genre, and I love it! Teens, drama, Love and lots of fun.
I absolutely loved this book, wrote the review for it. Carolee Dean did an amazing job! Terrific story!

WORLD LITERATURE The Little Prince
This was the first time I've read this type of genre, and I liked the type.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry They why it was written and the explains Antoine used to describe things was amazing.

MYSTERY And Then There Were None
This wasn't my first mystery book but it was my first classic mystery genre. I did enjoy by the middle then the ending.
This was my first book I have read by Agatha Christie and I was impressed.

PARANORMAL The Vampire Stalker this was the first time I've read anything from Allison Van Diepen and I enjoyed it. It brought back memories when i first read Twilight series.

HORROR Cryer's Cross
I got to say this book caught me by surprice. I liked it, and can't wait to read more of Lisa MCmann.

DYSTOPIA The Hunger Games
I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS SERIES!! There aren't enought words to explain the awesome this read was! The whole story was amazingly written and the characters as well. You connect with Katniss- the main character- and the people around her- I love Peeta!

HISTORICAL The Help I've read Historial books before, but never like this. I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait to see the film.

Hi Emily,

After reading the description for Because Of You I don't think it fits into thriller/horror. It's more Contemporary/Erotica. I haven't read The Help yet, but I think that one fits more into Historical or Women's Fiction. Can I get a second opinion Dee/Rossy?

*Update*- You will have to choose new books for Thriller/Horror and Inspirational if you want to use these Optional/Bonus genres. But don't worry, you can always add them at a later date and read them after the original 9 are completed. No hurry to choose them now. If you need any suggestions, please stop by the suggestions thread and we will all give you some ideas. Thanks Emily, I'm sorry they didn't work. You've got some great choices in your other categories :)
