J.M. Barrie
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”
J. M. Barrie, Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie
“Of all the delectable islands the Neverland is the snuggest and most compact, not large and sprawly, you know, with tedious distances between one adventure and another, but nicely crammed. When you play at it by day with the chairs and table-cloth, it is not in the least alarming, but in the two minutes before you go to sleep it becomes very nearly real. That is why there are night-lights. ”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie
“Feeling that Peter was on his way back, the Neverland had again woke into life. We ought to use the pluperfect and say wakened, but woke is better and was always used by Peter.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie
“Peter was not with them for the moment, and they felt rather lonely up there by themselves. He could go so much faster than they that he would suddenly shoot out of sight, to have some adventure in which they had no share.
He would come down laughing over something fearfully funny he had been saying to a star, but he had already forgotten what it was, or he would come up with mermaid scales still sticking to him, and yet not be able to to say for certain what had been happening.
It was really rather irritating to children who had never seen a mermaid.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie
“I'll hold you in my heart, until I can hold you in my arms.”
JM Barrie, Peter Pan: J M Barrie illustrated by Steve Hutton

“You were created for more than to bear the weight of your shadows- but you have to choose to no longer let them define you. You have to choose to let the light shine through the shattered pieces.” – Tiger Lilly”
Kara Swanson, Dust

“All children, except one, grow up”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

“NEVERLAND:The imaginary island home of Peter Pan and the lost boys. A place where you never grow up. Michael Jackson’s former retreat. An accurate description of the 21st century.”
Daniel Prokop, Leaving Neverland: Why Little Boys Shouldn't Run Big Corporations

J.M. Barrie
“Forget them Wendy. Forget them all. Come with me where you'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

“Any last words?”
“Go to hell, you freaking…filthy…godforsaken…”
Our noses almost touch as he dips his head and brushes a strand of my hair behind my ear. “Angel, the word you’re looking for is pirate.”
Anna Katmore, Neverland

Brianna R. Shrum
“Though his heart denied it with every fiber of its being, his mind knew that home was no longer an option. And he didn't cry. He didn't fret. He lay there on the earth, realizing and accepting and hardening. That was the night that James Hook began to grow up.”
Brianna R. Shrum

“All children, except one, grow up”
James Matthew Barrie, Peter Pan

“Faeries can be unfailingly loyal, even, apparently, to someone who doesn't seem to notice them. And I felt loyal to the girl with the crow feather in her hair.”
Jodi Lynn Anderson, Tiger Lily

Jodi Lynn Anderson
And when she surfaces from her dream, she calls me by my old name, though no one uses it anymore. And she turns to me, her eyelashes fluttering in the glare that surrounds me, and whispers to me in one short syllable. Tink.”
Jodi Lynn Anderson, Tiger Lily

A.C. Wise
“Neverland is hers, it is precious; she will not give it to anyone to use as a weapon against her. It’s enough that Wendy knows, deep in her heart, that if she’d jumped, the sky would never let her fall.”
A.C. Wise, Wendy, Darling

J.M. Barrie
“Of course the Neverlands vary a good deal. John's, for instance, had a lagoon with flamingoes flying over it at which John was shooting, while Michael, who was very small, had a flamingo with lagoons flying over it.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

“And where do these legends come from?”

“Las Vegas was as real to me as Neverland, opulence built in the Mojave Desert by mobsters for sins I could not bring myself to commit. What business did I have in disgracing its doorstep?”

C.S.R. Calloway
“His eyes shown as brightly as if they were fairies themselves, and his face held a delicate balance of youth and knowledge for he had an abundance of both. His tongue sat in the corner of his mouth, gripped between his teeth as he focused on a fairy that was sprinting and tumbling across his fingertips.”
C.S.R. Calloway, Lost: a Never novella

“I knew I'd miss you. But the surprising thing is, you never leave me. I never forget a thing. Every kind of love, it seems, is the only one. It doesn't happen twice. And I never expected that you could have a broken heart and love with it too, so much that it doesn't seem broken at all. I know young people look at me and think my youth seems so far away, but it's all around me, and you're all around me. Tiger Lily, do you think magic exists if it can be explained? I can explain why I loved you, I can explain the theory of evolution that tells me why mermaids live in Neverland and nowhere else. But it still feels magic.

The lost boys all stood at our wedding. Does it seem odd to you that they could have stood at a wedding that wasn't yours and mine? It does to me. and I'm sorry for it, and for a lot, and I also wouldn't change it.

It is so quiet here. Even with all the trains and the streets and the people. It's nothing like the jungle. The boys have grown. Everything has grown. Do you think you will ever grow? I hope not. I like to think that even if I change and fade away, some other people won't.

I like to think that one day after I die, at least one small particle of me - of all the particles that will spread everywhere - will float all the way to Neverland, and be part of a flower or something like that, like that poet said, the one that your Tik Tok loved. I like to think that nothing's final, and that everyone gets to be together even when it looks like they don't, that it all works out even when all the evidence seems to say something else, that you and I are always young in the woods, and that I'll see you sometime again, even if it's not with any kind of eyes I know of or understand. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the way things go after all - that all things end happy. Even for you and Tik Tok. and for you and me.

Always,
Ircham

“Dressing like that creates the wrong idea.”

“Oh really?” Wendy narrowed her eyes; John was moving into dangerous territory. “I wasn’t aware that wearing the same shirt you’re wearing was revolutionary.”

“It’s a man’s shirt, Wendy.”

Wendy scoffed. “Surprisingly, I’m aware of that. This was all I could find, so unless you want me to go to dinner naked, I suggest you come to terms with my shirt.”
Lucy Gould, The Rescue
