“Moving forward is better than looking back
Many of us like to bring old matters back or make comparisons with the past, while that past no longer belongs to the present. Still, it often happens that people keep reaching back to what once was, to what they once had, what they have lost, or what may have seemed better or worse at that time. But life no longer takes place in yesterday. The moment where we stand and live now is what will determine our future. A reputation built in the past can of course help us, because what we have done, learned, and built before does not have to be without value. But we cannot relive or change the past itself. What is done cannot be undone. Everything that happened in our younger years, what we lost then or what we once had, becomes wasted energy when we continue giving it too many thoughts, words, or sorrow. That time will never return, and the clock only keeps moving forward. Therefore, if we are wise, we must also adapt ourselves to that movement of life. We can keep talking about the past and become historians of our own existence, but that will not build a better future for us. It is more valuable to understand what the past has taught us and then use our strength for what still lies ahead. Maybe the past was better. Maybe the past was worse. But today, that is no longer the most important thing. Memories can be wonderful and give us a warm feeling, but there may also have been things that we never want to experience again. Both sides belong to our life, but they should not decide that we remain standing still. That is why we must look at the past with positive attention. Not to keep living in it, but to take from it what has made us wiser, stronger, and more aware. We enjoyed the good moments and learned from the bad ones. If we use those lessons well, we can make sure that the future becomes more filled with excellent and joyful moments that we can later look back on with pride. Nobody is flawless, excellent, or perfect, but we are all important to one another and certainly also to ourselves. That is why we must take good care of who we are and what we can still improve. When we look in the mirror, we should be able to see a person we can be proud of. Not because we have never made mistakes, but because we keep trying to move forward in a better, more honest, and stronger way. A person who wants to improve themselves and also mean something good for the world needs an enthusiastic character and strong willpower. That person does not remain stuck in everything that has passed, but uses motivation to create new joyful moments. Not only the person themselves benefits from that, but others can also receive strength, hope, or inspiration from it. Everything begins with better future perspectives. Whoever thinks about a better future gives themselves a reason to get up, continue, and not give up. The past may have shaped us, but the future still gives us the chance to build something better. Let the past rest. There have been good and excellent experiences. We enjoyed the good moments and learned from the bad ones. The improving future is waiting for us. The past has already happened and stopped. Looking back is over. Let us move forward and think about a more beautiful, stronger, and better outlook, because it is better not to look back. The wind, the water, and the festive procession all move forward.
