Sister, Maiden, Monster
by
"Gore, violence, loss of autonomy, and body horror are just some of the creepy themes this book explores. It's largely about women and their roles in society. Set during a monstrous apocalypse (think District 9 x 10000)."

The Babysitter Lives
by
"I think this is audiobook only, but it's amazing. A wild horror ride occuring one halloween night when the protagonist is babysitting. She makes one mistake and suddenly it's impossible to trust anyone and anything around her. "

"THIS BOOK, FOLKS. THIS BOOK. I read it in two sittings during one day. It's fucked up but amazing. Told in multiple perspectives about a group of undesirable people who are hand-picked for a hide-and-seek contest set in a theme park. But there's more to it than that. Kind of terrifying but fascinating and revolutionary at the same time."

The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth #1)
by
"Not necessarily my jam (sci-fi is too much for my wee brain) but this is queer as hell. Gender is a construct. Sexuality is fluid. Society is hard to figure out."

"Take this one with a grain of salt! It's not canonically queer, but it is queer-coded."

"The main romance is straight, but the secondary is two lesbians still in love after breaking up. The protagonist develops a strange friendship with the mean-standoffish straight-A student and they struggle to figure out romance and how to relationship together."

Vicious (Villains, #1)
by
"While the book doesn't refer to itself as queer, the author has said multiple times it's very queer-coded. And the sequel is queerer. Basically an Xavier/Magneto style part academia part superhero exes fight to "save" the world. Also found family."

Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1)
by
"This is where I convince you to read a pretty straight first novel in a fantasy series because it is amazing and gets more queer as it goes. The worldbuilding is insane and I just love this universe and all it entails. "
