Judging by the titles, there is more than one cookbook on this list (while the description clearly says NOT cookbooks, ...).
I'd like to nominate Grimble Grimble & Grimble at Christmas by Clement Freud - a children's book in which the young narrator Grimble, has to make dinner for himself on 5 successive evenings. And as the list above includes more than one autobiography, here's another Toast Toast: The Story of a Boy's Hunger by Nigel Slater
