A list for parents of advanced early readers on the lookout for book fiction series and book suggestions. So what is an advanced reader and who is this list for? An early reader is a child, sometimes in the late 3's, often in the early 4's and 5's, (older kids are welcome too), who enjoys a picture book but can independently (or with some help) read longer 50+ page chapter book with a few pictures here and there or no pictures at all. This list will cover books with characters advanced early readers can identify with (hint: some books might frighten young readers or involve characters like high school or middle school kids that they just can't identify with yet). Feel free to make suggestions. This list will be actively curated.
