Crap, Tien. I have been thinking about this all last week, and then I completely forgot. So sorry! Thanks for catching this and starting the thread.
Sooo Sorry. I am definitely on board with extending this until January 31 and I will definitely be around.
Here are the groups for Cycle 5:
Group 1:Susan - 4 books

Group 2Amy - 4 books

Sounds great, Tien. Looking forward to it. :)

And don't forget to post your quotes
here

I don't know, but maybe one of our books this month will tell us! I am looking forward to your quotes from or about your animal books. Any quote will do, it can be the funniest, your favorite, or, if you are stuck, just pick something from page 46.

I like this shelf. You can tell because I have read about half of the books on the first page of the shelf. :)
If I get anything read, it will be:
The Art of Racing in the Rain by
Garth Stein or
Mossflower by
Brian Jacques

That book has been on my TBR for SO long. Even though I always say yes and then manage to mess up.....I'm saying YES!

I tell him, and I write it down as I go. It makes me feel bette..."I have heard good things about this book, Susan. Thanks for including a quote. I am hoping to get to read it before too long.

Tara - I always have a problem determining what should be classed as a short story versus a novella. I usually try to go with page numbers, but I know there are a lot of short stories on the list. Glad you thought the story was cute.

I agree, Susan. By the time that you get to page 46 on most novellas, you are at least half way through. I like your quote. :)
Tien wrote: "I've created a Google doc for shelves / pickers list, here"I love the Google Doc idea. You are the master, Tien.

Great idea! I'll post a link in the top message to the Google doc as well. We were eventually going to run out of room in ..."Hey, Luann, welcome back. We missed you. Hope things are calmed down some for you!

And don't be caught "short". Leave a quote from your novella
here

Don't be caught short....leave a quote from your novella here. It doesn't matter whether it is short, like the novella, or long. It doesn't even matter if it is from page 46, although that is a good place to go if you are stuck.

It is funny, I read a short story or novella a week since I am doing a Celebration of the Short Story for my blog. The problem is, I don't read all many series books, which covers most of the books on the list. Luckily, I am reading
The Returned next month, and the three short story prequels to it are on the list. Whew!

Don't you just love autocorrect?

This one is a great one for me cuz I usually read a. Novella a week. Finally something that I should be able to finish! Yay!

Don't mean to rush you guys...I'm just impatient to get started! (Don't know why...if I lose my job this week as I'm expecting to, I'll have lots of time to read in the next couple ..."So sorry to hear that you might lose your job. :(

Thanks Susan. Glad you guys are up and running!
