8565 And don't forget your American Lit homework. Leave a quote on here. I guarantee you will get an A. :)
8565 Class is back in session and we are all taking American Lit for the month of September. Your homework assignment is to leave a quote from your book on this thread. It would be great if the quote highlighted what makes the book classed as American Lit, but really any quote you like is great. IF you are stuck, just pick a page at random and list a quote. I guarantee you will get an A!

I have not rad Where She Went yet, but LOVED If I stay. Thought it was one of the best YA books I have read in a while.

8565 Little Lies and Little Mercies by Heather Gudenkauf

I really enjoyed Little Lies as a character set up for the characters in Little Mercies. Although I am a big fan of Heather Gudenkauf's writing, this is the best yet from here. I actually read this book and the novella all in one sitting, and it is not an easy book to read in some respects. Lots of emotion, great characters, and the way she made me look at "the other side" was perfect.

8565 Thanks Bea. :)

I got ya covered!

Thanks for letting us know right away. Hope things calm down for you soon. :)

For the last book of the game, I will be reading Little Mercies, which I was going to start today anyway. Good timing.

Great List, Amanda!

I have actually read all three of those, Tien.
8565 A friend of mine just bought me a used copy of The Awakening by Kate Chopin at a library sale, which is on the list, so I think I will start with that. Looking at the list, I think that I have read at least 2/3 of the first page.

Lyn's List:

The Awakening
The Prince and the Pauper
The House of the Seven Gables

That should keep me for a while.
8565 I love American Literature. Hmm...off to find what to read.

It's easier than it sounds, Amanda. Trust me.
8565 All three of those are great, Susan. The ones from Between the Lines and Impact have really peaked my interest. :)

8565 If there is enough interest in this, I will be posting a sigh up sheet and re-instating the game beginning September 1.

Hope to see people back!

This game has been on summer hiatus, but I am planning to post a sign-up sheet for September to see if there is enough interest for this.
