I really liked both Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and Old Man's War. Both 4-star books for me.
I read Beauty and the Mustache and gave it 2.5 stars. I totally see why some people abandoned it. What a convoluted, full of drama book with a hero who loved to make decisions for the heroine "for her own good." The heroine was also going through a very difficult situation but she kept on and on about the hero's looks. It was freaking tiresome.
Rosemary wrote: "From what I can see, it has to have been shelved as Abandoned at least 28 times to make it onto the last page of the link."There's a glitch with the shelves...even though the Abandoned shelf has 98,325 books, it only shows up to page 25, with 1250 books.
That's why I use other methods to find out if a book in on a shelf. For example, I can see that 8 people have shelved Chasing Fire (a book I'm reading now) on the abandoned shelf.

are among my favorites! I think I rated them all 4.5-5 stars. That's the funny thing about this shelf...different strokes for different folks!
I have Catch-22 on my "maybe later" shelf but it's likely I'll end up abandoning it at some point. I really don't feel like continuing.
Sassafrass wrote: "I think I may read Wuthering Heights. I just read Jane Eyre and loved it, so I'm interested in seeing if I will love the other Bronte sister's writing."I love Jane Eyre! But Heathcliff seems like a prick, that's why I've never wanted to read WH.
I won't even try to pick a book for this shelf...I'm sure that whatever I end up reading, has been abandoned by somebody.
I read
and rated it 3.5 stars. The book was entertaining and I liked the main character although I didn't see that much new in the world. Maybe because I had already read His Majesty's Dragon, which has some similarities with the dragon chosing the rider, etc. Anyway, I don't know yet if I'll read the next in the series.

In addition to the NYT Best Seller's list, can we also use the USA Today Best-Selling Book List?https://www.usatoday.com/life/books/b...
The list is way more intuitive, easier to search (you can change to any date) and doesn't cut you off when you reach your "limit".
