Another question - are re-reads allowed? There are a few series I want to finish where I want to re-read from the beginning - Kate Daniels is one of them. Could I put books I'm planning to re-read on my Bookopoly shelf? Some of these series are 5+ books and it will be great if I can start them at the beginning of the year and maybe catch up by year end.
Ooh lots of books on my TBR from this one...mostly science fiction but I have some non fiction as well.

Did 7 rolls before I landed somewhere...so I'm staying put hahaha!

Thanks for the review, now I know I need to steer clear of this book - one of the triggers you mention in your review is definitely a huge NO for me."Thanks, Marina. That's why I made sure to include the warning!! I knew a lot of people wouldn't be able to get past some of the things that happened there.
Hi everybody...long time no see.I think I'll join the BR for The Fifth Season. I've had it in my TBL for ages.
I loved Daughter of the Blood but it was a hard book to read. LOTS of triggers. My review is anybody is interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I think I'll join you!! I bought the book a while back and this will be the push for me to finally listen to it...
Stacey wrote: "I'm a sucker for a good hockey romance, so I'll probably read Hard Hitter or Pucked. "Started the first one (and haven't felt like continuing) and in the second one, the heroine is NUTS. I think it's supposed to be this brand of funny where the heroine is quirky but to me, she comes across as unbalanced. Hope you like it better!!

Marina (Sonnenbarke) wrote: "Nope, I won't pass - I've purchased Crocodile on the Sandbank at 0.99€ :P"This book is a hilarious! I should probably continue that series but I've been in a Sci-Fi kick for a while...
Susan wrote: "I read Jar city, and barely gave it 2 stars.I just didn’t care about anything in this book. I couldn’t get interested in any of the characters - the protagonist Inspector Erlendur, ..."
Funny, I read the same book - Jar City - but for me it was 3.5 stars. I agree I didn't care much for Erlendur and the whole dynamic with his family but the motive behind the murder was super interesting and the ethical situation behind the new Jar City gave me a lot of food for thought.
That said, I thought his bosses gave him a lot of leeway...if he had been set in the US, he would have needed a lot more evidence to go ahead with a lot of the things he did. Also, I listened to the book and couldn't keep the Icelandic names straight. When they mentioned a person, I could barely remember who they were.
My wishlist has books I want to buy - either because it hasn't come out, they don't have it in the library or because I'd like to read it as soon as it comes out so I'm willing to pay for it.
