I will +1 Dead Witch Walking

September's theme is Witches!
Nominate some Witchy books to read in September!
After this thread has been up for a bit and has some nominations a poll will be held with the nominations to decide September's group read.
Books with seconds, thirds etc. are more likely to make it to the poll.

Glad you enjoyed it Mindy :)
Vickie wrote: "Finished this one tonight and loved it! I think I liked it even more than the first. Love me some sea creature features!😁❤😉"Glad you enjoyed it Vickie! :)
Latasha wrote: "Oh no, that doesn’t sound good."Some of it's personal to me. The killer octopus POV was interesting, just not interesting enough on it's own to keep me reading through it.

I ended up DNFing it. The characters are irritating me so I looked up spoilers and it just seems like it's not a story for me personally, so I returned it to Hoopla. I hope whoever else reads it enjoys it more.

I've read 3 chapters so far. Interesting start.

If anyone has access to hoopla or scribd it shows up on both of those. I've just borrowed it from hoopla.

Glad you enjoyed it Mindy :)

I finished it and gave it 3.25 stars. I liked it. Right now though I really really need some sleep.

I'm currently on page 146, in the middle of chapter "Encounter" and so far i'm enjoying it. It's disgusting and interesting. I'm not rushing through it but still enjoyable.
Updated Goodreads and i'm at 50%

Same here. I'll figure out what i'm in the mood for come August.

August's theme is Pick your own!
Yup, pick whatever creature book you want to read in August and feel free to discuss it here!
Please use spoiler tags as needed.

I have begun. I've read the first chapter, so i'm not sure what to think yet, though...
(view spoiler)[Poor puppy (hide spoiler)] and I skipped the introduction and plan to read it after, they tend to spoil things.

Glad you enjoyed it Elke!
Glad you are enjoying it Mindy! I'm excited to get to it a bit later this month. :)
Vickie wrote: "Cool, looking forward to it! But somehow I missed voting on the poll for this, bummer...😕🤔"I'm sorry, you should've gotten a message to vote, I sent it out to all group members (or it was supposed to at any rate) on May 23rd, as soon as the poll went up.
Glad you are looking forward to it at least. I am too. :)
What Lurks Beneath by Ryan Lockwood has won July's group read! This is the thread to discuss What Lurks Beneath in July.
Please use spoiler tags and chapter/page numbers when talking about the book.

I loved They Rise! I read it last year and gave it a full 5 stars.
I'll +1 The Creeping Kelp.
