I'll try get some pictures posted - I'm still waiting for the fabric to make my kitchen curtains and have to pick up a new desk *and maybe my reading chair...* for the office. :)

I'm about halfway through
Hex Hall on my Kindle and breezing through it. Fun little read - I've been making great progress on
Anna Karenina after a hiatus of a few months, and Hex Hall is a great filler read.

I'm nearly finished with
A Wild Surge of Guilty Passion: A Novel and still firmly maintain its title is the best part. I've kept reading, but it really reads like a newspaper serial, not like a novel, which is what is pretends to be. The story is compelling enough to push thru, but really, you know what's going to happen by page 10, and I really don't tend to enjoy that for my books. It'll rate about 2 stars from me.

Hex Hall

Movies are where they make the money at our library too. $1/day/movie!

Oh -
Little Women! I got this book without the 2nd half -
Good Wives - and had no idea about Beth dying. So, Tami, my dear cousin, read me the chapter. I remember sitting in her room, making friendship bracelets while she read the chapter aloud and we both were just weeping at the end.

When we did WDW I brought 3 or 4 books. I finished 1. (and I'm pretty sure I did that on the plane and in the car!) There is no shortage of things to do there. But one needs a vacation after that vacation to recover!
Congratulations on fiding the source of the bad smell - that's a pain though. Good that there was an excuse to haul a bunch of crap out though, right? Our painting update was a good excuse for me to go thru and purge too. I'm hoping today will be the last day of messing and we can just enjoy soon.

I'm LOVING how the office came together! I have a couple more things to get - the curtains are too heavy for the rod, so I need a different one, and I think we're going to get a darling little reading chair for in here, but it is gorgeous. Great facelift.
The kitchen needs curtains and new art, I think we're going to make some with canvas and colors from the brochure of coordinating colors. It also needs to have all the mess cleaned up!
We ended u with 4 extra gallons of paint, which luckly my mom can make use of. Guess our houses will coordinate after she's done painting.
I've hardly had time to read, but have made it 1/2 thru
. It's OK...but the title is the best part. It would make a fun movie, and has the feel of being writting to become a screenplay.
Christine wrote: "I'm reading
, which is ok so far, still has that sense of despairing tenderness as did the first two books. I might breeze through it."Of the three, it was my least favorite. I didn't love the ending, but it was still a fun ride.

@Lisa - I've moved it up on the TBR!
Tonight I started
and 15 pages in I'm enjoying it already.

I think my green and pink furniture are fun - they were two cheap pieces from Target - pressed board with veneer - you know the type. They don't paint perfectly, because they aren't super high quality to begin with, but they'll certainly pop when they come back into their newly painted office.
The closet is done, I'm re-loading it now. I LOVE that it has shelves now, but my husband was cursing at the way the brackets fit on the racks - it was not super easy. SOOOOOO glad he helped and just put it together for me. :)
There's another wooden cabinet I was going to paint too, but since that falls into the territory of "real" furniture (aka, solid wood construction) Mike doesn't think I should paint it. His Aunt who gave it to us thought the painting was a good idea...we'll see.

10 gallons plus 2 quarts of paint are sitting in my house...
We decided to paint the kitchen and our office. I decided to go with a HGTV thing in our office and we will have 3 grey walls, 1 "peppercorn" wall and I've got the furniture in the garage primed and drying. Next I'll apply coats of bright pink on one and bright green on the other. :) Mike is totaly rolling his eyes at me over this one, but I'm excited to have MY room that I'll decorate how I want.
Also went to Lowes and picked up racks to turn a clothes closet into a storage closet in the office. I've got chaos reigning now, but have high hopes that this is going to end up being a great solution for me when it's all done.

Loretta - your comment on the diary is perfect. AMEN. Of course any normal person would have just read the diary in one sitting!!!!

Fingers croassed for a relaxing day of turning pages, Elizabeth! Enjoy!

I totally love this series - I started it at the perfect time because I'm devouring the trilogy and passing them on to my co-worker. I agree that sometimes a YA paranormal romance is exactly the cotton candy my brain needs from time to time. So, bring on the sugar high, I love this one. I'm 20% done with Forever...

I used this term at work this week and smirked! :) (true story...)

Enjoy your trip! The heat broke today, so I hope you get some lovely weather! We have family flying in from AZ today, so they should get some nice weather while they are up. And ME of course. Again, thanks SOOOO much for the books - I finished
and
already!

Lisa - you're a riot with your two Nooks for extra reading time! :) They ARE quick reads. I started Linger yesterday, and one bout of insomnia later and I'm ready for Forever.
I REALLY want to beat Grace's parents. What vapid people! And then Rachel is a hoot. :) I'm really enjoying my Christmas in July booty!

I finished up
- and am actually glad I didn't grab
when I was at Sam's Club yesterday. I have to clean my house for company today, and having the last book in the trilogy wouldn't help...
