I understand what you're saying, and I agree tp they're being completely different.
Giving the author/editor/shiller/whoever the benefit of the doubt, however, I'm assuming they want us to envision sweeping/epic/fantasy, possibly for the YA market (seeing as I've heard more people reading LoTR as preteens/teens for the first time then as adults).
Anyway, it piqued my interest so I signed up for the giveaway - not that I'm holding my breath.

Ready Player One is well worth your time (IMO). I couldn't get into Fairyland though..its a cute book, but just not for me at the moment.
Homeinmyshoes wrote: "^You don't. Classics suck. :)"

Grab a nice cup of tea/coffee, wrap your arms up nice and warm, and read a short story or two. Hopefully, that'll get your reading juices flowing again.
Christa wrote: "Nyssa wrote: "Christa wrote: "LOL! Enjoy."
I'm hoping to, but as I just posted in your thread, I'm worried I'll land in an entertainment void where nothing engages me. We'll see. I'm hopeful."
No! No reading funks for you! That short story collection I read, Rubicon -- A Short Story Collection, helped jump start my reading again. Do you have any short stories, or an anthology that you can dip into?
Christa wrote: "Well, my triceps are sore from too much pinball so it looks like I'm finally going to get back to that book I was reading. :)"LOL! Enjoy.
Nyssa wrote: "Its official. I'm in another funk. Neither reading nor gaming seems to be keeping my attention. I really hate this feeling."Hoping Rubicon -- A Short Story Collection helps me reboot. Barring any major distractions I should finish it tonight.
Its official. I'm in another funk. Neither reading nor gaming seems to be keeping my attention. I really hate this feeling.
