36119 Task 10.2a Special Gift: Beatrice and Virgil by Yann Martel

+10 Task

Grand Total = 395

This book was not nearly as compelling as Life of Pi. It's not one of my favorites for this challenge.

LOL --- You have more stick-to-it-tivness than I do. I tried to get through this book this challenge. I finally had to give up on it. I rarely ever do that, but I just didn't like this one at all!

I don't have an e-reader, but I do download audio books from my library. I can then either download them to my mp3 player, or copy them to CDs so I can listen to them in my car.

I believe my library might use the Overdrive system too. Like the eBooks, you check them out for a specific date range, and you have to wait in the queue for popular titles. But it's really nice to load an audiobook or two onto my mp3 player before I go on a long trip.

I do see where my liberary now offers some titles in "eBook" formats.

36119 Good info everyone! Wow, looks like I'd be better off to go with the Nook if I wasnted to use the libraries eBooks. I think my library uses the Overdrive system for audio books. I imagine that if they haven't jumped on that for eBooks yet, they will soon.

Yes! Let us know. I've been debating about going to an E-Reader. I think the Kindle would be my first choice. But I'm such a frugal reader, I don't like to pay more than a couple of bucks for a book. (I love my local thrift store that has 1/2 off their books on Friday.) I don't mind waiting in the library queue for new releases.

Hi Rhea:
You've already used the (F-S) letter combo once for this task. ( 4 Bodies And A Funeral by Stephanie Bond. )

The task rule states, "You can repeat this task as many times as you wish but you may only use each pair once."

Sorry, I can't count the points for the book posted here. If you can find another task where it will fit, please add it in a new message.
