Well I can tackle your second question.

1) Biography - a non-fiction history of a person's life (or a portion of their life) written by someone other than the person themself. For example: Kate Remembered by A. Scott Berg A biography of Kathering Hepburn written by Scott Berg.

2) Autobiograpy & Memoir - both of these are written by the person being featured in the book.

I just looked up the difference between an autobiography and a memoir in Wikipedia the other day and it said that a memoir usually only focused on one or two significant events/eras in the person's life, while an autobiography was about their whole life. (But more frequently now, the terms can mean just about the same thing.)
Autobiography: The Story of My Life by Helen Keller
Memoir: Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher

36119 Please use the same format as outlined at the beginning of the Winter Challenge Completed Tasks Folder.

And please, post early and post often.

Your scorekeepers appreciate that!

How cool was it to see Jasper Fforde?

Good on ya, Rachelcameron!
I've been trying to slog my way through this book for about a month. I just couldn't get it finished by the end of the challenge. I found some passages really funny, and some that just went on and on and on. I suspect that was more the style of writing in Twain's time. I thought this would be a light romp worth bunches of points, but I just couldn't get through it.

Did you enjoy it, is it worth trying to continue reading?

36119 Funny -- I just jotted down The Master Butchers Singing Club club for the the Poets Who Write Prose task. I saw Louise Erdich on TV awhile back and she was talking about how this story came from the German side of her family. Her was grandfather a German butcher who immigrated to Minnesota. I think he immigrated. He may have been born here --- but I do know he was German or at least of German extraction.

I like your idea of Marjorie Morningstar, Elisabeth. I may have to pencil that in for me too. :-}

36119 Do all the words (except the little connecting words) have to start iwth the same letter/sound?

Do we have to inlcude sub-titles when determining whether a book fits?
