36119 Hi Elizabeth:

I ran out of time last challenge to read The Paper Moon by Andrea Camilleri. He seems to be a popular Italian writer. This particular book is in the middle of his Inspector Montalbano Mysteries series.

I haven't read it but it looked good to me, and it's at least another Italian option.

I chose this one for no el just looking at the cover and didn't consider it a book with a subtitle, but when I pulled it up there was one with an "l"(A Novel of the Johnstown Flood). If it doesn't count I'll adjust my points. Thanks!

Hi Karen: Sorry, the "L" in the long subtitle does disqualify this book for Task 10.6.

Hi Jackie:

I can't allow to points for your first task shown above. For Task 20.10 the task rules say that the President's name needs to be found in the book TITLE.

This book/play would work for Task 20.3 (One Word Title). If you repost it in a new message using the new task then I can add the points.

And ... quick question ... do I need my "Land & Sea" itinerary approved before I can start posting for Backpacking through Europe? (My itinerary is post #44 over in the Backpacking through Europe thread.) Thanks!!!! "

Hi DeeDee:
Yes, this is posted correctly.

Your itinerary has been approved. If you haven't done so already, you can start posting your Backpacking books.

I don't know if this will count because although the description on Goodreads says it is the third Paul Faustino book, it is not specified like other series. I'm not claiming the 5 points unless you allow it.

36119 Hi Guys:

After a longer break than I intended, I'm back! I'll start tallying the points now but it will take me awhile to get caught up.

I hope you all had a nice Christmas weekend, and are looking forward to some New Year's festivities.

36119 Rebekah wrote: "I'm still not sure if The Devil and Miss Prym counts for 10.8 as well."

Hi Rebekah:
I was waiting to see if Sam or nsfancy was going to weigh in on this one. But since they haven't here's my take on it. Task 10.8 is about reading a book set in a specific country. If the only way you can infer that the book is set in a specific country is by the author's nationality, then no --- I don't think it counts for the task. When I read the book, I thought it was really location neutral. It could have been set anywhere.

Unless I'm overruled by nsfancy, I won't be allowing Combo points with Task 10.8.

36119 Note to all the group members --- if I haven't yet posted your points, you don't need permission to modify your original post to add extra Style points if you find them. Simply edit your original post and add the new points.

If I have already tallied the points you posted then you'll need to add a new message and let me know the new Style points you've found.

The Readerboard folder tells you which message number I've posted points up through.

Joanna is correct. You can't use Task 10.2 when claiming Combo points. Basically with Task 10.2, you can read one book to fulfill the task itself, then the task is retired for the challenge.
