It was a nice easy read. A cool modern fairytale with the right mix of creepy and historical setting. Well adapted by Funke

no, just those colours need to be on the cover. Books can be banked for mini 2 only (noting it is 100 tasks in total with 10 revealed at a time).
Captains will work out as loose strategy and come back to everyone. I think for the moment we do need to start thinking about what books you have in the "hard" and "mid-level" countries for those itineraries

A woman inherits a pawnshop where you can sell your regrets, and then embarks on a magical journey when a charming young physicist wanders into the shop, in this dreamlike and enchanting fantasy novel.
On a backstreet in Tokyo lies a pawnshop, but not everyone can find it. Most will see a cozy ramen restaurant. And only the chosen ones—those who are lost—will find a place to pawn their life choices and deepest regrets.
Hana Ishikawa wakes on her first morning as the pawnshop’s new owner to find it ransacked, the shop’s most precious acquisition stolen, and her father missing. And then into the shop stumbles a charming stranger, quite unlike its other customers, for he offers help instead of seeking it.
Together, they must journey through a mystical world to find Hana’s father and the stolen choice—by way of rain puddles, rides on paper cranes, the bridge between midnight and morning, and a night market in the clouds.
But as they get closer to the truth, Hana must reveal a secret of her own—and risk making a choice that she will never be able to take back.

Oh yeah I forgot about that one. I went there in the NY summer of 2000 as I was living in Canada at the time. It was so ridiculously high!
My office is up 50 floors and that can be a bit disconcerting sometimes but nothing on what the WTC was

Oh you can join our buddy read thread for book one here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
and book 2 here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
and handful of us started the series last year and have just continued on, so we still lurk in the old threads 😁

I'll admit to having no idea where the Sky Tower is. And when I googled the first thing that came up was Sydney Tower (which tbh if that had been renamed that would have been embarrassing I was unaware!) but then I discovered https://skycityauckland.co.nz/sky-tower/ which looks like our team picture.
I used to go to Auckland all the time for work in the mid 2000s (I would spend one week a month in NZ), but I don't think I ever went there. I've never been much of a tower person.
Although I went to Melbourne Skydeck last year with the kids and it was kind of cool. Otherwise I've been to Sydney Tower, Brisbane SkyDeck, Tower of London (does that count? lol), Empire State Building, Eiffel Tower and CN Tower. Not sure I've worried about any others on my trips but perhaps I should stalk the team threads and see what is familiar!
Most of us have been on team challenges together before, so welcome back! And to those that are new to challenges, or we just haven't played togetehr before, I'm looking forward to getting to know you and learning about the books you enjoy :)
What will be your first read for Tower Teams?
I need to get to two chunksters which I am saving.

In the meantime I don't feel like reading anything heavy as I have been making my way through the Stormlight Archive, so I've been listening to anything narrated by Julia Whelan which has so far involved

opened!

But the fact that that is where my brain immediately went is probably showing my age a bit... 😆"
Oh I see where you are going!
The robot used Oprah as inspiration this month 😊

Both added in 2017.
Rules of prey because I don't even know why I added it. I suck at reading those kinds of books and the start was just Yick!
Sword of Summer because I suck at mythology and the audio narrator was awful.
