End of Chapter 14

I was going to leave thoughts at the end of this part but this chapter has my mind going….
(view spoiler)[ so many types of fused and now all these old traditions and power struggles are back. And of course Kaladin is wanted by all of them. Moash still seems to be protecting him - or wanting to, though. Curious. Is this one of Odium’s games and that is why he has brought in Moash?

Lewshi and Venli make an interesting pair. Now they are going off with Raboniel I suppose is good … stay close and all that. But wouldn’t Odium know Venli’s secret? Or maybe not as she isn’t fused.

I agree about the prologue, although I also liked seeing that time from her POV.

Actually one on my shelf I have now noticed because of your question is published but the edition I had shelved wasn’t combined with the published ones so shows as not yet published 🤦‍♀️

Yes they were both quite annoying in different ways in the first two books.
Shallan really grew on me for someone I initially found quite irritating

It is up to you.
I count my deletes and DNFs, but I set a goal with that in mind. If your personal goal was just to read you may not include them, or you may increase your goal to accomodate ;)

I really enjoyed Rysn too. I appreciate authors who can do their research and create a character that would not be traditionally seen as strong. (view spoiler)[ And Vi ; I am with you that I was worried she w as going to be magically cured and that would have been very disappointing. (hide spoiler)]

Nikli and the island were so good. This was such an intriguing part of the last book that I am glad we got to experience it more and get more of an understanding of what it is all about. (view spoiler)[ I don't beleive we had seen the sleepless before (well not in an overt way... although I'm still convinced the moments in book 5 where they talked about the kremlings were probably spies) (hide spoiler)]

Yes, that was a bit weird for me too. And I don't enjoy the voice he is given on audio. I can't work out if they are trying to make him sound Australian or a kind of cockney. Either way it doesn't work for me
