Sanderson you are getting a lot of my money at the moment but it’s worth it!
Will get this one on kindle and audio again and switch between the two. With UNO happening Feb-April I’m going to be even slower finishing this

I have my husband reading this series now and he just started book 2. I feel like he is going to overtake me when uno starts ☹️

Anyway he is an audio person so I think I will just get this one on audio rather than also buying it on kindle - “only” 7 hours 😊🤭

I am VERY worried about this Moash storyline. Kal took a bit of a back seat in this book and I think there will be a reckoning between these two.

Shallan and Adolin. Love them. It has become such a great partnership.

Dalinar - well we did wonder about The Thrill!!! He was so strong and I adore that he is now learning to read and write. His comment about how they took shards away from women, but gave them literacy.... Given the choice I would also take literacy but both make you dependant on the other sex and helpless in different ways.

Renarin - this will be fascinating. we always new he was different!

Jasnah - I'm not sure about her suitability for her new role. She isn't very diplomatic. haha. But needs must

Dalinar - (view spoiler)[ Boy he is carrying a lot on his shoulders. And I wonder why he is so pivotal to everything. A bondsmith will be particularly important perhaps? (hide spoiler)]

Taravangian - (view spoiler)[ He is worse than Sadeas! At least with Sadeas you always knew there was a chance he was bad. This guy is the pits (hide spoiler)]

I never thought I would read it, and then after we re-read the trilogy last year I decided to pick it up. It is hard to live up to those first books, but I thought she did a good job at exploring Snow as a teenager

I've been thinking about that Kaza interlude with the cook. There have been a few times in the book where the cremlings have been commented on, but just as an aside. (view spoiler)[Like there was one on the table that Dalinar noticed looked a bit odd when he was talking strategy. I do wonder if that cook is a form of 'people' that are cremlings and that is how they spy and work out what is going on? Or maybe I'm reading too much into things. lol (hide spoiler)]

Taravangian is fascinating. Especially the genius v old man persona. It is almost like he gets possessed

Absolutely. I think a few of the characters do, (Danilar, Shallan and Kal) and show it in different ways.
Dalinar had his memories taken away, Shallan pushes them down and represses, and Kal has to 'save everyone' and has a constant mental anguish

I can see myself re-reading but not for another 10 years once he has finished books 6-10 and I want to remind myself of the first five.!

Thanks Vi! As I read what you wrote I wondered if it was it the singers or the listeners that became the fused? Then I did some googling and apparently B.S isn't good clear but the listeners are a subgroup of the singers. Gosh it gets complicated. lol

I'm not sure we know yet if they renounced the sprens, or if they were taken from them in some other way? As much as I love these books some bits are going over my head as all the different theories are discussed by different characters. 😁

we are in a big mess now. What an impossible choice to make for Shallan also to turn the key or stay and die.

I was so happy in this part to see Wit back. He is becoming more and more important - especially with Shallan. I hope he can help her to units her 'selves'. Veil has really been taking over.

So much death in this part. First the kids Shallan thought she was helping and now most of their team.

Oh and Dalianr and the Rift! Gracious. No wonder he asked for those memories to go. But surely that was the point that he stopped being the 'Blackthorn' and started to find more humanity as Dalinar?
