35559 Has anyone started this yet?
35559 I started the audiobook read by Stephen Fry today. He does a wonderful reading. I'm up to chapter 4.

The last time I read the books, I binge read them all in one week. It was my most memorable week in all my holidays in school.

The first chapter is still one of my favourite starts in a book.

35559 I'll make sure to take him with me next winter and test him in the humidity. Hopefully he can deal with it :P Then he might be okay with staying in Brisbane for a few years with me! Haha

If you come back I recommend Sunshine Coast, Glasshouse Mountains, Noosa, Maleny, Montville & the Eumundi markets :)"

Noosa! I've heard a lot of people say they loved Noosa!
I'll definitely check out those other places when I go next. Thanks Nicole! I'm hoping to go sometime next year but am not sure when. Maybe June/July.

Melbourne's too cold for me too! I would consider moving to Brisbane but my boyfriend can't handle the heat, unfortunately.

That's fine Teri! I'm waiting for the buddy reads to begin for a few books that I've added to the spreadsheet, to begin.

Brooklyn read Stillhouse Lake and it's been used in History of Magic. We could put your version of Stillhouse Lake in History of magic, and Brooklyn's in the Water making charm with your Killman Creek books.

So, we could use the virus as a dark art, or the title as a defense (Magic)

35559 In Melbourne! The cold isn't as bad as Tassie but definitely not as warm in Brisbane or Sydney. I went to Brisbane when the Comm. Games were on. I loved it! The spontaneous rain was a bit annoying though. I want to go back and check out G.C. and other areas

35559 I'll answer your questions when I get back from shopping. I'm off to get some flannelette pyjamas for winter!
35559 I finished the book. I might wait until you all have read the book before I post opinions. I sort of flew through it by listening to the audio-book version mostly, whilst organising my teams spreadsheets

If you can have it read before June 16th, then yes. It still counts
35559 So, I finished. Instead of reading one part each day, I cracked and finished it this morning. I have so much reading to do for June and especially before I start studying again.

I did enjoy the book greatly. I feel like if I read this in high school, and told my friends about it, it would start a great discussion on death and how the Scythe world is. Especially for those who did philosophy.

Definitely going to read the second book in the buddy read in July

This is my first one of his too! I have liked it so far. I think it's a great concept to explore as well.

True! What about magic as a cure against a poison?

Shelve the edition that you read/listened to.

If you listen to an audiobook (which I have), we use the most popular edition of the book that you listened to.
If you want, where you put the page count in the planning spreadsheet, type 'audiobook' and I can find the correct edition.
