35559 I hate to say this but Shosho, you can't say the Dresden files as from my bookshelf. The books have to be read on/after April 12. So they won't work. Sorry.

LK, can I also use Heart of Obsidian from ShoSho's shelf provided that she finishes before/same day as me?

35559 @Leslie - Could you recommend other books by her that you enjoyed? Her backlist is huge that I don't know where to start with.

35559 Good Morning, Leslie!

I finished

The Greek Boss's Bride (Greek Tycoons) (Harlequin Presents, #2631) by Chantelle Shaw - An ok HQN read. There were a few phrases in the book that kept repeating and I wanted to have a drinking game. Plus the heroine was just ok. Typical HQN.

In the Midnight Rain by Barbara Samuel - A really good contemporary romance. I loved it. The characters, the setting and the mystery portion was all great. Works for the monthly challenge with letter I

I have started Web of Lies (Elemental Assassin, #2) by Jennifer Estep and 6 chapters in.

Have a great day, everyone!

35559 Prospective Mauve covers - DO they work?:

Hidden Talents by Jayne Ann Krentz Magic Lost, Trouble Found (Raine Benares #1) by Lisa Shearin

Would any of these two count as black?

House of Chains (Malazan Book of the Fallen, #4) by Steven Erikson Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson

35559 I've been preparing some books for the 7%. Mauve is the color behind us. Since there is no separate listopia for that, I've gone to its closest cousin - Purple. Please note that this list is serve as inspiration for you to choose a book and not all covers are mauve. Please post the cover here if you have any clarification.

1. Purple cover shelf 1
2. Purple Cover Shelf 2
3. Listopia Black Books

Snooping on Mauvelous Thread for the R-a-T, here are confirmed mauve colored books that can be used: (Yes, I need inspiration for this color!)

Club Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #3) by Charlaine Harris Dangerous by Amanda Quick Phantom Waltz (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan, #2) by Catherine Anderson The Duke and I (Bridgertons, #1) by Julia Quinn The Lion's Daughter (Scoundrels, #1) by Loretta Chase Homefront by Kristen Hannah Angel (Maximum Ride, #7) by James Patterson

35559 June is 4 days days but it seems like forever. All those books I listed for the challenges are just staring at me, taunting!

But I got a new Kindle Paperwhite and I've fiddling with it today! I've loaded few books to read. YAY for new gadgets!

35559 So I persevered and finished V for Vendetta by Alan Moore . I liked it but I really was not in the mood for it. I had to finish it for a challenge. Doesn't work for the monthly.

35559 LK, I knew you'd offered but not that part about keeping. LOL! That would definitely have clued me in. :)

35559 Midu, I posted on your profile page but I'm posting here also. For #1, the book has to be on that person's Tower Team Challenge. In the SIster Group, go to Challenges, any team and any member. Click view books and those are the books that you can read for that. Got it?

35559 That bug is very very irritating especially when you are trying to find a book from the mobile app.

I just finished One Night for Love (Bedwyn Prequels #1) by Mary Balogh - a BR with Leslie, Melissa and Rebecca. It was ok. I'm not that impressed with the book, actually.

I also need to finish V for Vendetta by Alan Moore for another challenge and it's also due at the library.
35559 Okay, I couldn't stop and I just finished the book. I found it ok. I predicted a few of the stuff and the way it came about was not that different than I expected.

Lily still has few Mary-Sue qualities. She's so very accepting of everything. It was still hard for me to get a read on her even after I finished. (view spoiler)

Neville was ok. I liked him too. He was trying to do the right thing but muddling about it. This book will work if you accept Lily and Neville love each other. The why's and the process was not that clear.

35559 @Leslie - the view is amazing! Melissa is right. She should have brought all of us.

35559 Leslie - Mac annoyed me in book #1 & 2. God, The PINK Mac was horrible. The series got exponentially better after book #3. Trust me. I was having the same reaction as you when reading that series. People convinced me to read book #3 which really was the turning point.

Melissa - DiA is a bit dragging in the sense that you know a certain thing is going to happen and you are trying to guess how/when that happens. Colum and Dougal do come. So do additional people.

35559 Midu!!, I was heading over to you now. Love the new avatar. And the salwar too. You look so pretty!

How are you now? Back to normal?
35559 So true, Rebecca. Very very irritating.

35559 @Lisa Kay: I agree. I tend to do the same. I think I'm very spoiled by Nalini Singh. The other PNR I read don't seem to be on the same level as hers excepting a very few.

Loretta Chase has some serious writing power. Lord Perfect is one of my favourite romance of all time. And i love the characters in Lord of Scoundrel esp Jessie. She's kick-ass. Have you read her latest series? The dressmaker ones?
