35559 I went to the library earlier today to pick up Liar & Spy by Rebecca Stead but I totally forgot about that! Instead, I picked up Montana Sky by Nora Roberts & V for Vendetta by Alan Moore . I re-read the first for a challenge and man, early NR still does it for me. I'm not too crazy about her recent ones but the old ones, yeah. I've been wanting to get my hands on Alan Moore atleast once - I've heard raves about that.

And because of the graphic novel, I want to read some more Manga (Japanese comics). I'm going to read the scanlated version of Cross Game 1 (Cross Game, #1) by Mitsuru Adachi which I've been putting off for long. Adachi's works sometimes are very similar (except for the ending when there are twists)
35559 Grrrr. I will not let Slider Puzzle beat my ass.. for long

My thoughts exactly. And the heroine was specially trained by some guy called Raiker who trained others like her. I was sooo expecting a psychic one.

Rebecca: Way to go with the puzzles. All done and up to date.

35559 Ooh, that hammock looks so good that I'm feeling sleepy already.

Have a great day team! I'm off to bed. Have an early day tomorrow.

35559 Well, I just finished it. Basically to sum up the book, it is a journey of a emotionally-stunted woman from childhood to womanhood (?). It was ok - I just expected more based on the reviews and pushes from friends. And that's two books in a row that I'm not over-joyed about. The next one had better be good.

35559 Thanks, Marguerite & Leslie!

Leslie - WN did not have any ounce of psychic twist. It was very very ordinary. A run-of-the mill RS. That's a major reason why I'm disappointed so much. I thought it'll be better.

I'm reading The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh . About 220 pages in. The heroine is a a little bit stunted emotionally and basically a loner. She gets pregnant and has the kid by herself. The parts right now are ones about her difficulty dealing with her newborn baby (a week or so old). It's WAY TOO much information for me. I'm feeling soooo uncomfortable reading that. I'm cringing at her reactions and emotions (First POV and it cannot get any more intimate) Gah!! *ducks*

35559 And I have reached my page goal - 4506 is my count now. I knew I should have increased my goal. I miscalculated :( Hope there's no penalty for overshooting the goal

35559 Melissa - I finished Waking Nightmare (Mindhunters, #1) by Kylie Brant . It was ok - like a typical RS. Nothing really new. Both the leads were ok - there is light romance but at the end of the day I couldn't tell why they decided to stay together. Both of them had issues (loads) and it really wasn't addressed satisfactorily. I'm not in a hurry to pick up the next. I think Leslie liked it better - she rated it 4 stars. I'm wavering between 2 and 3. :(

35559 I started with Waking Nightmare (Mindhunters, #1) by Kylie Brant yesterday. Totally unexpectedly. About 50 pages in and looks to be ok so far..

35559 @Leslie & Melissa - OK, I'm going to continue the series. You guys are making me want to read it NOW!

@Kristin - Isn't that picture just cute?

Would you guys believe me if I say I've never seen a scone before in RL?

35559 So, Leslie the romance is developed in the next few books?

35559 I just finished Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep . It was good but didn't captivate me. I liked Gin - she was really kick-ass. Since it was a first person PoV, I didn't quite get a good feel for Donovan, the cop and I assume, the love interest. I'm really curious about her past so I'll definitely be picking up the next book in the series.
35559 LOL! It's all Blue anyway :)

Thanks for checking it out, LK!
35559 ShoSho!! I want one too! Pretty please?!

Hi Team!

Our total book count now is 137. Which means we have read 18 books within a space of 2 days. What an awesome work by all of us! We rock!! Aaand we are tied with Wild Blue Yonder, Leather Jacket Black for the FIRST place. Great job, Team Moonstone!

On to Read-a-Thon stuff:

We have 5 points in our bag for suggesting a mini-challenge. Apart from that we get 50 points when all of us a) reach our Page Goal b) read a Theme and c) read a Cover representing the Color of our team to a total of 150 points.

Remember, the winner gets a 4 book advantage on the team's total.

So if all of us can read books counting towards the theme and the color, then we get a 100 points.

THANKS, Team Moonstone! You guys are THE BEST.

P.S: I'll post a mini R-a-T update soon.
