What? Really? Was it a poisonous snake? When I was young, my house was the only one on our side of the street. Both sides of the house were basically ponds during the rainy season and became mostly dry otherwise. Every summer we used to have "visitors" - mostly snakes, turtles in the house. Thankfully, the snakes weren't poisonous. One time, we realized there was a snake in the bathroom. After we got rid of it, we told my grandfather. He shrugged and said yeah, I knew it was there when I was bathing!! (He was a veterinarian) Now those spaces are constructed into houses.
From the book, I got the feel that NO and surroundings people had a casual attitude towards snakes.. The book specifically said after Katrina, the New Orleans city found snakes in the backyard..

I finished up
today. Set in New Orleans, the book is a Mystery with a hint of Romance. The book was a little creepy for me mainly because it had snakes in it. I can't fathom how anybody can handle snakes in hand. (Even though I still watch Animal Planet when it shows snakes) There is very little romance (just a hint) but the book was fast-paced that it was easy to read. I am definitely liking Amanda Stevens writing.

Not fair! :)

It's ok - take your time. The library near me doesn't have a copy so I'll probably go to another one and pick it up. That one also has a few others that I want. Tomorrow's library trip day.
Let us know when you're ready to start - Melissa & Leslie are also participating. Not sure if they have the book on hand.

Nope, not yet. My library doesn't have an e-copy which means I have to source a ppb. Just preparing ahead. Have you finished the Graveyard Queen?

Good Morning, Team!
I was browsing my digital library and I ended up downloading
. I had to stop because I'd reached my max limit of 6.
And with that, I'm planning to start
while I try to find
in my library

LOL, Leslie! Great jpeg :)

I couldn't let go of
so I went and re-read
. I'm trying so hard to control re-reads but I'm failing utterly in that aspect.
Now I really have to concentrate on
- I have completely neglected it in the 4 days.

@Karen - I've read both the books. I wanted to know if you liked it. Rainbow Rowell is fast ending up on my like-list in the sense that both the books I've read of her seemed simple but it was darn good.
I agree about the WWZ book - I had the same reaction. For a moment, I was thinking am I reading a History book? It was good though.

I finished
and I'm in love with Ghost! Absolutely swoon-worthy Hero. Ghost has set a very high precedent. He's definitely a tough act to follow.
Apart from the hero, I have got to say - the world building is awesome! It's really amazing the things Nalini has built and how complex they are. And how very seemingly logical it is. I can't wait for the next book - how the world is further built.
Leslie - Not trying to rubbing it in but I can't seem to stop gushing!

Karen, I love the Spell-It-Out word. I've given up on
though. It's totally not peaking my interest now and I have no desire to read it.
Have you read
&
?

LK: I thought so for that cover.
Ooh, good one, ShoSho! Are we allowed to use Alternate covers?
