35559 I couldn't let go of Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh so I went and re-read Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh . I'm trying so hard to control re-reads but I'm failing utterly in that aspect.

Now I really have to concentrate on House of Chains (Malazan Book of the Fallen, #4) by Steven Erikson - I have completely neglected it in the 4 days.

35559 @Karen - I've read both the books. I wanted to know if you liked it. Rainbow Rowell is fast ending up on my like-list in the sense that both the books I've read of her seemed simple but it was darn good.

I agree about the WWZ book - I had the same reaction. For a moment, I was thinking am I reading a History book? It was good though.

I have the Kindle Edition which is the other cover. Well, it was worth a try :)

35559 I finished Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh and I'm in love with Ghost! Absolutely swoon-worthy Hero. Ghost has set a very high precedent. He's definitely a tough act to follow.

Apart from the hero, I have got to say - the world building is awesome! It's really amazing the things Nalini has built and how complex they are. And how very seemingly logical it is. I can't wait for the next book - how the world is further built.

Leslie - Not trying to rubbing it in but I can't seem to stop gushing!

35559 Karen, I love the Spell-It-Out word. I've given up on The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins though. It's totally not peaking my interest now and I have no desire to read it.

Have you read Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell & World War Z An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks ?
35559 LK: I thought so for that cover.

Ooh, good one, ShoSho! Are we allowed to use Alternate covers?
35559 I know this is going to be a long shot but would you accept Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh for a black cover?
35559 Yes, Zara. It just has to be finished on/after June 1

35559 Good Evening, everyone!

I finished Venom (Elemental Assassin, #3) by Jennifer Estep yesterday and it was really really good. I'm definitely picking up the next one asap. And the library is being very helpful by having the copy too.

And today is the release day of Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh YES! *Happy Dance* Another 10 or so hours to go for the e-book to reach me!!!! I might be temporarily unavailable until I actually finish the book..

In the meantime, I'm reading The Shadow and the Star (Victorian Hearts, #2) by Laura Kinsale

35559 What do you mean by "hold"? Is it like the book is reserved? We have to pay to reserve a book here and it's available for only a period of time (a week or two at the most) before going back to circulation. Thankfully, the e-stuff are separate but I can still check out only 6 items.
35559 Way to go, Catherine!! You're doing awesome!

35559 I can't do that. When I read a book, I'm totally immersed in that. If I stop a book halfway because I was not in the mood, I usually don't pick it up again. It has happened to a number of books. So I try not to put it aside for a while.

And the Malazan books actually need your brain to be completely engaged unlike, say, the Inara Scott book. That's a totally comfort read contemporary and fluff. If I pick up House of Chains, I completely get lost in the world, trying to pick up loose threads happening. The group buddy-reading is so much fun. Everyone's posting their theories and guesses that I lose lot of time in reading and responding. Then I feel guilty because during that time, I could have finished another 200 pg book. But, the final point is read the Malazan series. It's a totally awesome series!!
