WaT sounds even more confusing now! Yikes! Taking 8 books with me on my trip. Hope they'll help! Won't be back till August 1st. Yippee-cay-yay!

Oh yay that sounds like fun Lauri! But Rancho Cucamonga is SUPER hot so be prepared!"

Yeah, my husband is already up there & he said it hit 100 today. He asked me to bring sunscreen! Duh! Go to the store. Hel-lo! You should try Hawaii with its lovely 100% humidity! Different types of heat, but I like my hair lots better in Cali. At home, it's pretty much a giant frizz ball. I leave tomorrow night.

I finished both White Elephant Dead and Stone Butterfly on 7/16. 'Stone Butterfly was really excellent!

Leaving for L.A. tomorrow night. I have my pile of books down to 8 -- should cut it down to 4 or 5... This is so hard!

35559 Wow, you guys! I think we are all totally awesome!
I read the msg from the NBRC Mods just now & it really made me sad. I mean who would actually cheat, or even worse, accuse others?
I am doing my level best to curtail my crazy reading style of jumping around crazily from book to book so I can help out on each challenge. I'm still having so much fun! This is a great group and everyone is so nice and supportive. I think our teamwork and level of chattiness is perfect!
So, that being said, I am loving my latest relay book Light My Fire even though I picked it totally at random. It has dragons! Who knew?
Also most importantly, hats off to our fabulous captains!!

No you go ahead. I don't want you to spend money unnecessarily! I was just looking to see what my local library had available immediately. I can always find something else...

Cool! I originally picked it up for AMMP's spring circus... Books about carnivals/circuses/amusement parks. I mean who wouldn't want to read a book called 'Joyland?' It was so different from anything I'd ever read from Mr. King. Hope you enjoy it!

35559 I just found out that I'm really going to Disneyland! I'll be gone from 7/22 to 7/31. I'm so excited! We haven't been since 2012! My husband has to go to California for a series of classes for work, so I'm just tagging along. We'll be staying in Rancho Cucamonga when we're not doing Disney. I'll probably be logging in lots of poolside hours reading... :)

35559 I finished Joyland while waiting for blood work at the doctor's office today. My face must have looked pretty strange because my blood pressure was elevated and people were staring at me. You guys gotta read this one! It really is that good. Off to add it to our Books Read!

35559 I'm well into all my remaining books. I should finish Joyland by tomorrow and the others by Saturday. The good news? I am really loving all of them! Stone Butterfly is really a lovely surprise and I am enjoying a whole different side of Stephen King!

I just found out I'll be going on a little vacation from 7/22-31. My husband has to attend a series of classes for work in California and I'll be tagging along. We're going to Disneyland!! So Captains, without giving anything away, what would be the best type of books for me to take with me? I'll probably be doing a lot of poolside lounging...
