35559 I admit I am intrigued by the e-reader concept, but I really like feel and smell of a real live book in my hands. Also I'm poor :( and I am always slow to get new tech gadgets, even phones, etc. I love my iPad, but always have to fight off my family to take possession of one. My apartment is too small to keep books, so I only own about 10 special ones which I have in storage...
I may have to break down & get a Kindle or something soon.

35559 Does everyone on our team have an e-reader? Sometimes I think I'm the only person left in the world who still goes old school and reads only traditional books. Not only that, but I borrow them all from the library...
35559 New Year's Eve Murder (A Lucy Stone Mystery, #12) by Leslie Meier 304 pages
Master of Souls (Sister Fidelma, #16) by Peter Tremayne 320 pages
Holiday Grind (Coffeehouse Mystery, #8) by Cleo Coyle 280 pages
Evil Eclairs (Donut Shop Mystery, #4) by Jessica Beck 277 pages

35559 I haven't really been anywhere outside the U.S. -- except to Mexico when I was a little girl. It's so funny that everybody wants to visit Hawaii. The people who live here can't wait to leave! We get what is known as 'Rock Fever.' That's a persistent desire to get off the island.
I'm about 100 pages into my yellow book. I finished two others that, of course, don't count for this challenge...
The Horsemasters (Reindeer Hunters, #2) by Joan Wolf The Blue Afternoon by William Boyd

35559 Happy Birthday, Delitealex! May all your books be big ones!
City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3) by Cassandra Clare
I just finished 'City of Glass' by Cassandra Clare and it was awesome. Love reading in bed. Too bad it doesn't count for this challenge. :) Working on my yellow text book now.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone

No plans for excitement! Just reading & more reading...I hope to finish 'City of Glass,' 'The Horsemasters' and make a serious dent in my yellow text book - 'Insane City.' God, I sound so boring!
Jan 27, 2016 11:25PM

35559 Nope. Still need to charge my laptop & try that way - BUT - I have started on my yellow text book. Should be a quick and easy read... It's 'Insane City' by Dave Barry. Happy reading, everyone!

Okay Karen. I vote we name you Queen! I definitely have a book with yellow text. Anything else needed for this 1st detour?
Jan 27, 2016 01:33AM

35559 Wow! You guys are awesome! I have any and all of the above laying around. Japanese settings are one of my favs, yellow text is easy as are the letters in Kagoshima. Maybe someone should just flat out tell me what to read...
