35559 I finished Joyland while waiting for blood work at the doctor's office today. My face must have looked pretty strange because my blood pressure was elevated and people were staring at me. You guys gotta read this one! It really is that good. Off to add it to our Books Read!

35559 I'm well into all my remaining books. I should finish Joyland by tomorrow and the others by Saturday. The good news? I am really loving all of them! Stone Butterfly is really a lovely surprise and I am enjoying a whole different side of Stephen King!

I just found out I'll be going on a little vacation from 7/22-31. My husband has to attend a series of classes for work in California and I'll be tagging along. We're going to Disneyland!! So Captains, without giving anything away, what would be the best type of books for me to take with me? I'll probably be doing a lot of poolside lounging...

35559 I finished The Cuckoo's Calling and Cleopatra's Shadows on 6/30/16. Cleopatra's shadows was excellent! Cuckoo -- not so much...

What is everybody up to now? I am hoping to get to Disneyland at the end of this month, but still aren't sure yet.

Laila Jane, your big day is coming up soon, isn't it? So excited for you!

Good for you, Margaret!
I feel really overwhelmed at times, too. I have a (sometimes) crazy full-time job, I do all the meal prep/planning/cooking, laundry, bills....I have very little time left over to read during the weekdays. I mostly read in the early mornings and then late night when I should be asleep! Weekends are when I binge -- especially mornings in bed. This morning I woke up at 8:30, but stayed down reading till 11:00!!
I really enjoyed Murder on Bamboo Lane, but Killing Time just was sort of -meh- . I am seriously liking Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe and Joyland!

How are everyone's picks and pans doing?

35559 I just saw that. Thanks, Alissa! If we want to keep Bamboo Lane for the wheels in chariot, please put me down for White Elephant Dead for page jumping. (Hardcover 288 pages). That should work, right?
