I have a GR account from my personal email, created before I could link to my Facebook account. My Facebook account was created based on my college email. Do any of you know if there is a way to link them or combine them? I've hundreds of books on that TBR list for longer than two years.

1. Did you have any thoughts/feelings before starting the book that have changed now that you've started it?
I had absolutely no idea what the book was about. I was only going to read it for the Tower's points. I'm very pleasantly surprised.
2. Why do you think the Dragon takes a girl exactly every 10 years?
That's how long it takes to completely teach a new a witch or it's in his Dragon/Kingdom contract? Maybe they become his Dragon Army and are keeping the Woods from getting stronger and stronger?
3. How are you liking Agnieszka?
I like that she's not described as beautiful or head over heals in love with the Dragon. There's a lot of Jane Eyre to her. But, there is a line between cute clumsy and annoying clumsy she's tripping over.
4. Were you surprised to learn she had magic?
Yes, I had no idea that's what this story would be about. I assumed a training of some sort, but not the harnessing and developing of any kind of magic.
5. Are you looking forward to reading more?
Absolutely

Ag-nice-zka? Ag-niece-zka? Ag-nis-zka?
Begins with a Short A or Long A?"
My brain couldn't process her name so I just call her Aggie. LOL!!!"
Perfect! I started by just saying Agnes in my head, but knew it would be a problem when the book is made into a movie.
My 13 year old brain didn't want to bother with Hermione and transposed the name into Hermie. Harry, Ron, and Hermie. Problematic for years.

I'm sorry I haven't been as active the last couple of weeks. I traveled for work then spend a week at Walt Disney World with my husbands siblings and their families.
Good news: Today and tomorrow (17th & 18th) are my last two work days of the year, thanks to plant shut down. So, I will happily help take on another book or two for the 25 Days of Christmas Goal.
Here is my planned reading for the rest of the year:
Tonight I plan on finishing The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao for the 21st century books list.
I am starting The Paper Swan for the Backroom BOM
Then it's Uprooted as soon as I can get a copy.
And lastly, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress for another team's East Asian destination book of the month
