We watch a lot of Euro and Scandi crime series on TV and came across a good one from Luxembourg. I can speak a bit of French and German but couldn’t pick what they were speaking. It’s like French but with a strong accent etc. Occasionally they’d liaise with other law enforcement and swing into French or German which I could understand. Found it fascinating. Watching a good French Canadian thing atm called The Wall. More familiar French in that!

Hi Insiyah. I read Anna Karenina last year. I’m interested to hear what you think of it. I kept wanting to give Anna a good talking to and tell her to get her act together. Hahaha I keep meaning to read more Dickens but haven’t yet. Over the last few years I’ve made a point of reading some of the classics, hence Anna K.

35559 Hi Lisa. There seem to be a few of us team challenge addicts in Aus. hahaha

Is there a planning spreadsheet somewhere?

35559 Hi Team, Elisabeth here. Sorry I’m a bit late checking in but I’m here and ready to go.
There are some familiar names on the team which is great.

I haven’t read through the thread yet and looked at the spreadsheets but will later today.

This my 2nd TT and I’m in Australia.

Thanks everyone and special thanks to our team leaders.

35559 Well done, Deanna!

Finished Open by Andre Agassi Didn't think I'd get through it in time but it was enthralling and quite gripping in parts. I've always been an Agassi fan.

Thanks Karolyn. Apart from a challenge use, it is a pain because in the series list it shows up as though I haven't read it when I'm looking at where I have reading gaps.

35559 The book I’m reading now is number 4 in a series. It’s titled Dead End but the series has been republished by Sphere in 2019 and some books given different titles which makes it tricky to identify them. Dead End has the cover I have but is separately listed on GR as Dead End 4 but not included as an ‘other version’ on the author’s main page. The old version is titled Grave Music.

35559 I didn't know that was a book, Deedee. It was a play called Marathon 33 and I thought the movie was based on that.

I met my husband when we were both playing in a local theatre production in the onstage dance band for the marathons in the play. You're right, it's a very bleak story set in the Great Depression.

35559 I just corrected the title of my book. It's Orchestrated Death without the 'in'.

35559 Finished Taste My Life through Food by Stanley Tucci .

I've added Orchestrated Death as my next read. The cover is no use but the title may be and if not it'll have food and drink in it so might be useful if you need to switch things around. My edition doesn't have a listed page count but I've put the number of pages actually in the book.

35559 I'll finish my actor on cover book--meant to last night but kept falling asleep with about 40 pages to go.

Will knock over Taste and just picked up a couple of quick reads which will work for the titles--Orchestrated Death and Dead End. May not manage both.

35559 Karolyn, I’ve just come across poetry in the text of We'll Always Have Casablanca The Life, Legend, and Afterlife of Hollywood's Most Beloved Movie by Noah Isenberg . Not sure if that helps or not 😀
