I'm reading books about movies and actor bios atm. My main reading genre is crime but this is an entertaining diversion shaped partly by our challenge but also because my husband has read and recommended them and two have been by my bed for ages. Unfortunately I never add those TBR books to my GR shelf.
My current book is about the making of that wonderful movie Casablanca. I never knew it was a play first called Everybody Goes to Rick's.
I may be able to get in an extra one after the three I've listed, to cover something we need.

I'm going to substitute
for
in the pair for actors on the cover. Taste will have lots of food references for the other task.

and
as a pair and leave Matt McC as poetry.

Just a thought--do we have to have two different people reading for the pairs? I have Mel Brooks, John Cleese and Stanley Tucci waiting for me. hahaha
And yes I had a quick look through a couple of team members TT reads in case there was something I have on hand that I could read, and listed at least half a dozen books that looked good for the TBR pile.
Ooh and my husband put a book about the filming of Casablanca on the pile by the bed so that might pair with something movie related perhaps. Has Elsa and Rick on the cover in the fog.

In regard to pairs, I'm reading
Matthew McConaughey's autobiography (very good btw) so if someone has a book with an actor on the cover it could work.

Impressive! Much easier with connecting words.
I have Mel Brooks' autobiography to read in August for another challenge. It's called All About Me which could be useful in the comedy story.

I think pairs would be easier, too. What do you all think is most difficult?

. I’m hoping to finish it over the weekend."Is it being used for another task though? Most listed books are as far as I can see.

In that case On the Java Ridge could match Malibu Rising because they're both sea settings/ have oceans on the covers.
I'm planning to read this at some stage.
Does someone have a leafy cover which would match it? Ooh or maybe another three name author?

I was looking at what we might need before I pick my next book. I have a JD Robb 'in Death' series book I could read which I imagine will match one of Silje's for a pair of books. Is that correct?
https://www.amazon.com.au/When-She-Go...I think so. The house is at the bottom and it's a print edition by Hachette. There are unnumbered pages at the end with ads or blank so I guess they count those and end up with 496. All very confusing.

Finished
Oddly, the page GR count is 350 odd but the book is actually 476 pages for the same edition.

I won’t finish any more monster books in time. How long does the next mini last?

Drop Bear 2, 3.

I can knock over a quick set in Australia romance if we need it for Drop Bear. Could possibly have surprise twist too, being a romance.
