ROUND III: The Huns (1702 new)

35559 I can read Especially Spaniels, 200 pages, for pet name starts with Q. I can't link to it yet because I have an enlarged edition and I'm not sure how to add it to the record. I've asked a librarian to take care of it for me. I'll link to it when I finish it or whenever the record becomes available.

Haven't read it in years, but it has a dog named Quicksilver. :)

Thanks. I also found this link, useful but not for Q. http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/name...

There has to be a dog named Queenie somewhere. I'll spend some time looking. :)

35559 I thought I'd saved the link to the pat names challenge but I can't find it. If someone can repost it I'll go look for Q. Thanks.

35559 I've finished Never Say Goodbye (The Best of Betty Neels) by Betty Neels for the road on the cover goal.

I'll check back in tomorrow morning and see where we are with our goals. Good job, everybody!

OH! I liked that book. And the next one. I have The Republic of Thieves on hold with OverDrive right now. I especially liked the audio versions.

35559 Wouldn't be the first time a goal popped up that we were already reading. :)

35559 I've finished Murder in the Mystery Suite for bicycle on the cover. It wasn't very good, I definitely won't bother reading any more in the series. So I'm glad it was useful here. :)

35559 I'm OK with using a boon if no one wants it. We might as well use a few and see if we get something better.

I finished Rock Chick Rescue 500 pages. With a dog named Chowleena if we still need pet name starts with C.

35559 I have two "eye" books, both of which I'd be happy to reread. Though it may be a couple of days because I have two other goals books I should finish. So Melissa can plan on something she wants to read. :)

I've been wanting to reread The Deeds of the Disturber (Amelia Peabody, #5) by Elizabeth Peters , and my very old pb copy clearly has one eye on it. So I can read that instead of an e-book.

35559 I can read Rock Chick Rescue for Read a book where a pet name starts with the letter C. There's a dog named Chowleena.

If no one comes up with a pet beginning with N I really think we should use a boon. It's been there for a while already. I thought of Nana in Peter Pan, but I'm not all that interested in reading it, myself. :)

35559 I've finished Pirate King, which I reported one earlier. I don't think it fits a goal.

I need to make one change; though I used the GR record for setting, and the book actually takes place in Portugal and Morocco. There's no Washington state in it anywhere. (I've fixed the record.) Additional character names: Annie, Bonnie, Selsete, Doris, Edith, Fannie, Ginger, Harriet, Isabel, June, Kate, Linda, Will Harold, Vincent, Sherlock and Mary. Also a parrot named Rosie.

35559 I'm half way through listening to The Golden Ball And Other Stories by Agatha Christie. But I've got 3 hours to go and can't listen to it a lot. So someone else may beat me, which would be fine. :)
