35559 OK, I know I'm losing it, but what book am I reading for this?

I checked the list twice and didn't see anything. lol

You can through Amazon with their free Kindle reading app. Or through sites like Project Gutenberg if you can make a pdf. And I get OverDrive through my library, which also has several ways to read on laptops.

I'm sure other folks know more ways. :)

I'm pretty much always reading a mystery and a classic, so that's no problem. :)

35559 If you need it I have The Penderwicks at Point Mouette 64736 words, where they spend most of the book at the beach. I'm 1/3 of the way through.

35559 I finished News from Thrush Green, 239 pages, for Read a book where a pet name starts with the letter S . It wasn't Shep the dog, though, but Suzie the cat. Shep is in another book I'm reading. lol

35559 I'm also reading News from Thrush Green, 239 pages, and somebody in it has a dog named Shep. I'm not sure who the dog belongs to, I'll pay attention while I'm reading and see.

ETA I think I'll need to start noting pet names. I often don't pay that much attention to them...

I've finished  Uprooted, 438 pp, which is #173 on the Book Depository list.

I also pass on the "memoir of the leader of a country book". lol

I am 1/2 way through the Amazon 2002 bestseller, though.
