ROUND III: The Huns (1702 new)
Aug 30, 2015 09:40AM

35559 Anne of Avonlea was filmed in Canada: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092571/l....

It has 85,006 words on AR, so it qualifies. I'd be happy to reread it.

The thing is, I'm happy to try and find a book for a goal no one else is doing. But I can't tell which goals they are. I hate to see a goal languish for days because everyone thinks someone else is reading toward it.

But I'm not trying to pressure the mods or make your job harder, I'm only asking questions. Feel free to tell me to go away and read...

I have an idea for filmed in Canada. Will report back...

35559 Is anyone doing "Read a book with 81-90 chapters"? Is there a way to tell if a goal isn't being worked toward at all, and decide if we should use a boon for it?

This all looks very confusing now and I'm really glad I'm not a captain. lol

Also, I can always read Shakespeare, and he's been filmed almost everywhere. However, Elizabeth Peters died in 2013, too. And her books are quick. So I say don't sweat it either way. :) Better to generate new goals ASAP?

ETA- There's only the year for first pub date, as it's too old. So am I right in thinking they're allowing date the edition was published? If so, this edition was published March 12th 1993 and works for Read a book first published on the 12th of a month. If that's not right, please disregard. :)

Aug 29, 2015 02:55PM

35559 I just pulled Before Lunch off the shelf to start. It has 322 pages, which add up to 7, for Goal 6: Read a book where the page numbers add to 7. It will probably take me a couple of days to read it, though, so someone else may get that goal filled before me. Especially once we merge and double in size. Still though I'd mention it. :)
