One of the things I like about the Plum books is that you can leave them for a long time, then pick the next one up, and you don't have to go crazy trying to remember what happened in the last book, so they're almost stand-alone. All you need to know is if she and Morelli are together or not when the book opens, and she'll let you know that right off. OTOH, like Godiva truffles, one or two in row are great, more than that and I need a change.

I actually don't remember 15, so I'm happy to check it out again.

LOL My DD read the first one and made me promise never to even pick one up. :) Not there aren't all kinds of books for all kinds of people. Just that she knows me and what I read. And what I rant about after I've read it. ;)

There are several books I'd like to read on that list but they're all on OD hold. I loaned one possibility out and it hasn't come back yet... I do however have Finger Lickin' Fifteen, 308 pages, which is #78 on the list. So I can reread that. They're quick and usually fun.

I can also read Wolf Creek Homecoming, first published Dec. 17, 2013, for the other goal.

But I have a bunch of things I need to do before I read more. So if someone else gets either goal read first, that's fine by me. It's all for the team, right?

I've finished Wild Man, 528 pages, for the glasses on cover goal.

I'll go look for books published on the 17th. Also the Amazon 2009 list. Those are the two goals we need right now, correct?

LOL I've really lost track of the goals. Though I am still reading for one, if someone hasn't beat me to it. :) But this book was too fun to put down.

I've finished The Bikini Car Wash. It popped up on OverDrive, I'd forgotten about it. But it turned out to be fun, perfect for Labor Day. :)

Since we're all on the same team I don't think it can be considered stealing. Just giving leg up. :) Besides, we seem to end up using pretty much every book we read for some goal.

OTOH, there's a lot to be said for just reading something because you feel like it. Lol

No, I don't have too many books going right now. I'll be happy to read the twitterpated book. Plus you have two already, don't you? We can't overload our mods. If you ladies break down we're sunk. :)

I can do twitterpated. I've had my eye on Orchard of Hope for a while, and it has that word.

Should I push to get it read before the deadline or wait till after?

Closest I can come right now is "I was bound and I was gagged, my hands tied over my head..." in Sweet Dreams. When the bad guy gets her. :) I don't know if that's close enough.

I've finished Especially Spaniels (206 pp) for the pet name starts with Q category. There's a dog named Quicksilver. Now that I know that I can read another of her memoirs if we get that goal again.

I know that Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid series has a dog named Oberon. First book is Hounded. But I can't commit to another book right now. :) I'm sure somebody will come up with something good.
