Hello from Lisbon, Portugal! We just got back to the hotel from all day sightseeing. It was raining most of the day, but still a lovely city and we saw some amazing sites. Just wanted to check in from the business center to see how everyone is doing. I was able to sleep some on the plane, so I´m still working on my book.

Hannah and Daniela, The Handmaid´s Tale was when I fell in love with Atwood. Still in my top 10 list. Hope you both like it. It will make you think, that´s for sure!

Sarah, I'm sure you'll get a few who will take you up on your offer. Small chance I'm sure that it would work for my daughter, but you never know.

I'm wait listed at the library for A Man Called Ove. I can't wait for it to come in...I've heard so many good things about it. I would have given my book more stars, but just couldn't get into the fairytale part.

Your trips sound incredible! Your daughter is a lucky girl to have you as her momma. You do a MOST important job! I know because our youngest daughter is a NICU nurse. Nurses have a lot of stress and deserve all the fun they can have on their earned days off. She's actually moving to CA in about a month to be a travel nurse. We'll miss her something fierce, but she's single and 30 so I'm glad for her to have the experience. We are thinking about going to Kauai this coming winter and having her meet us there. It looks so beautiful!

Just curious. How do you all find time to listen to those long books on audio? I don't listen to books, but wouldn't mind starting to listen some if I could figure out how to fit it in my day. TIA!

Ha! Yes, huge difference between NOVA and RIC! Our daughter also lived in Arlington, VA for awhile. She got tired of the traffic. She may be in for traffic again depending on where she lives in SoCal, but at least it will be great weather!

I loved Denzel in "Fences" too. We didn't get to see too many of the other nominees/winners at the theater, but we'll pick them up on Redbox or Netflix. I've heard "Lion" was fantastic, so might start with that one.
