Yeah. I was so excited (and horrified) when I saw the direction Dal's story was going. I read about the Iolaire in college (there are a number of folk songs about it) and not being able to get it out of my mind for days.

Those letters, yes. And it's so accurate. The honesty and beauty--there's almost a journalesque quality to old letters. I was thinking this reading WW2 letters for The Monuments Men Murders.

LOL I struggled with a couple of things too (as a former teacher) but I think that's kind of the point--these guys have a learning curve of their own. ;-)

Yes! I agree. She's so great at capturing humor in even the most fraught of situations. It's kind of like when you know you MUST NOT LAUGH but you just can't help it--in fact, knowing you cannot laugh, makes it funnier. She does that brilliantly.

Nicole's story is the perfect kickoff to the best type of contemporary cozy mystery series. :-D I mean, it even had a SECRET TUNNEL which is an automatic gold star in my opinion. :-D

I think that's so great! I think she did a wonderful job of capturing that dead mall. So creepy. So effective.

I thought that was very well done. I kept thinking... This is not my kind of thing... but we watched all the way through and I did end up actually really enjoying it. It had some quite funny lines.
