Review: Overall I liked the story. I'm always partial to a female who can kick ass better than any male, especially when she's underestimated. The title should tell that these men, or most of them, thinks she's weaker because she's a woman. Our girl proves them wrong.
In Suzanne's vampire world, vampires are made, not born, and there are different breeds. The breeds is where I got confused and part of the reason that I didn't rate this higher. I wish there had been an appendix or something in the book with a deeper explanation of how this vampire system worked with the different breeds and possible powers that the vamps can have.
Some of it was explained, but it didn't stick, so then after finishing I had to go back and search through the book to remind myself of information.
The other reason I didn't rate this higher is because I wasn't sure I felt about the relationship between Sam and Jared. Once they got together it was hot, but everything leading up to it felt childish and a bit forced at times.
No problem. You're the first of us to complete a book. I'm reading one of mine now and will start the other on Monday, since I chose to use it for another challenge that starts on that day. I'm hoping to get caught up by the end of the coming week.
Working both jobs have been taking up a lot of time, plus family, but I'm determined to read, read, read, and listen to audios when I can find them.

I will update our tracking post and log on tomorrow evening with my picks for this current week. I'm planning on getting some reading done this weekend, since I'll be off from both jobs.
The jobs are going great. I'm doing part time work for the job I've had for years (I've been on medical leave since August). They found a way for me to get a few hours working remotely. So in the mornings I log in to see if there's anything to do or respond to and work until 9am then check back during lunch and after 4:30 pm.
The new job I started is from 9:30 -4:30 at least during the training period. I'm already loving it and the people that I communicate with. It is team oriented and it's also remote.
I love staying busy and it's the best of both worlds for me.
I tend to overshare.
