I think I may end up reading that. I didn't know about it until after I started reading this one. I saw a review that says The Testaments stays on track with the series.

I'm planning on starting the series soon so that I can compare.

Review: I enjoyed the story and it's crazy and scary to imagine a world where we regress in all the things that women have fought so hard for us to gain. The thing is we are living in a world where it looks like we're regressing when it comes to women's rights.

It's crazy that other woman are one of the tools used to hold these woman down.

I wish it would have given a more detailed view to the lead up to Offred's tale.

All the details of everything that lead to the government takeover, how people responded, and then this new world where women have no rights and people or being persecuted for their beliefs.

Then that ending leaves me with no closure. I don't want to have to imagine what happened. I want to know for sure.

Review: This is a multiple times reread. The most emotional scenes for me were the beginning, when Mac wasn't herself and that very last scene when Mac realized that she has lost more than she thought she could. All I can say is...Wow!!

No matter how many times I read it, and I've read it a lot, it still evokes the same gut-wrenching feelings as it did the first time around.

Review: This book was a little all over the place for me. I didn't really connect with any of the characters including Janet.

Mostly I felt that the supernatural elements or beings weren't explained well. And I hate the whole, lets keep secrets from the person who has to make the big decisions, like lack of knowledge doesn't affect the decision making process.

I guess everyone was supposed to mysterious?? And the whole thing with her mother ended up feeling anticlimactic.

@Lady Jaye, the tooth trouble is okay for now. I was supposed to have it pulled months ago and then I got sick (hence the doctor's appointments I'm still enduring). So I haven't made a dental appointment due what has been more serious issues, but if I get a toothache like that again I'm going to have to move forward with the extraction. IMO, toothaches hurt worse than giving birth and I had two of my babies with no anesthesia.

We also got the car problem fixed, thank goodness. My car is 10 yrs old and has travelled a lot, so I'm just glad it's still running.

@team, Now that I've overshared, how are you guys books coming along?

I'm hoping to start on my PNR shelf book Sunday night *fingers crossed*
